The Florida State Seminoles will host the NC State Wolfpack in an ACC battle on Wednesday night. The Wolfpack are attempting to avoid a third straight defeat. They are coming off a home loss to Miami Florida.
The Seminoles have yet to play in 2021 due to COVID postponements. They were 4-0 to open the season and are now 5-2. FSU recorded a 67-61 road win over NC State in the lone meeting last season.
NC State Stunned by Miami in Second Straight Loss
The NC State Wolfpack were 3-0 to open the season but have been inconsistent since. NC State earned two narrow wins against the Tar Heels and Boston College in their first two conference battles and have now lost two straight to even their ACC record to 2-2 on the year. They were 6.5 point favorites in a disappointing 64-59 home loss to Miami on Saturday. NC State has only covered in one out of their last six games.
Devon Daniels hasn’t been able to find his scoring touch recently. The senior guard is only 4 for 13 from beyond the arc in his last three games and is averaging 15.9 PPG on 45% shooting. DJ Funderbunk is playing well and has scored at least 20 points in two out of his last three clashes. The senior forward has filed an average of 13 PPG on a stellar 65% clip from the field. Jericole Hellems has only scored a combined 13 points in his last two games. The 6-foot-7 junior forward is averaging 11.2 PPG.

The Seminoles stand at 1-1 in ACC play with the lone win coming against Georgia Tech. They have not covered in three consecutive games.
MJ Walker is having an inconsistent season. The senior guard has the talent but has shot below 45% in all but two games this season. Walker leads the team with 15.3 PPG on a 40% clip from the field.
