The Wildcats improved to 3-1 in conference play, leaving them tied for third, one game behind Seton Hall. Villanova was tied late in the first half but utilized a 12-2 run to take a 10-point lead. The Wildcats didn’t let the Hoyas closer than five the rest of the way en route to the victory. Villanova shot 47.4 percent from the floor, including 15 of 29 from three-point range, and controlled the glass 36-30 in the game. Saddiq Bey poured in 33 points to lead Villanova in the win.
