CSU Northridge Looks For A Rare Road Win

The Cal State Northridge Matadors have been a below average team so far this season. The Matadors have lost 13 of their first 21 games this season despite beating UC Santa Barbara on the road by eight points in their last game. In that game, Cal State Northridge's offense was great as it scored 83 points while shooting 52.5% from the floor. Now, the Matadors will be looking for another conference win on Saturday. Unfortunately, this game is on the road where the Matadors have struggled up to this point. Cal State Northridge has a 3-10 record on the road this season so it will look for a rare road win in this game.

Leading the Matadors offensively is sophomore forwardLamine Dianewho has been amazingso far this season. He is averaging a team-high 27.4 points per game along with a team-high 10.4 rebounds. In addition, he is averaging 2.3 steals and 2.1 blocks per game so he has been very active on both sides of the ball.

CSU Northridge's most underrated player is junior guard Terrell Gomez who has been very solid this season. He is averaging 20.6 points per game along with 2.6 rebounds. In addition, he is shooting 41.7% from the three-point line so he has been able to stretch defenses out all by himself.

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Cal State Fullerton has looked awful at home this season so I have to assume that the Titans will look flat once again on Saturday in front of their home fans. Even though CSU Northridge's record is not great, it has looked a lot better ever since Diane rejoined the rotation and I think that the Matadors are a lot better than their record indicates. This game might be close for a while but I think that Gomez and Diane have too much talent for the Titans to contain which makes me believe that the Titans will struggle to cover this spread. Give me the road team.

Prediction: CSU Northridge

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Cal State Northridge has been very good offensively so I think that this total is too low. The Matadors are scoring 74.9 points per game while also allowing 79.1 points per game so I think that this game should be pretty high-scoring. Plus, Cal State Northridge likes to play at a very fast tempo as it ranks 87th in adjusted offensive tempo according to Kenpom rankings so I think that this game should be played with a lot of pace which bodes well for the over in this spot. As a result, I think that there is a lot of value with the over.

Prediction: Over

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Cal State Northridge has won five of its last seven games so I think that some of its momentum should carry over into the first half of this game. Cal State Northridge has the better offense in this matchup as it is averaging roughly ten more points per game so I expect to see Cal State Fullerton struggle to keep up on the scoreboard for at least the first 20 minutes of this game. Plus, the Titans have been awful at home this season so I expect to see them come out flat in the first half. Give me the road team.

Prediction: CSU Northridge
