Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

I will take Pepperdine in this matchup. Portland is a bad basketball team and they are going to have their hands full on the road against the Waves. Pepperdine has one of the best offenses in D1 college hoops and the Portland defense is one of the worst in basketball. Pepperdine is better at all aspects of basketball and I will take the Waves to beat the Pilots in this matchup.

Prediction: Pepperdine

Full-Game Total Pick

Rating:

My math has this one ending at 148 points and that seems to fall a little bit on the low side. For all their faults, Portland can score the basketball a bit and Pepperdine might be a worse defense than Portland. So we can expect a high scoring game. Pepperdine plays an above-average tempo and Portland is near NCAA average so there will likely be enough possessions to exceed the total. Both teams are good three-point shooting teams and I will play the OVER at 148 points and below in this game.
