Road Warriors

The Fordham Rams are off to a strong start this season with 15 wins already and have shown toughness in the Atlantic Ten with some quality wins. On Saturday, Fordham came from behind to beat Duquesne on the road by the score of 65-58. It marked the first time since 2007 that Fordham has won consecutive road games in Atlantic 10 play. Also, the Rams are now .500 in league play through six games for the first time since 2007. Khalid Moore led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds for Fordham. Darius Quisenberry chipped in with 14 points, including 12 in the second half as the Rams took over. Fordham's defense held the high-powered Duquesne 3pt shooting attack to just 18% from the floor.

Fordham has really gotten after it from the defensive end this season which, in part, helps explain the team's success on the road; defense plays everywhere. The Rams are ranked 106th in the country in scoring defense. They are an impressive 53rd in the nation in opponent's field goal percentage. Fordham is also 121st in 3pt defense. The team is also 69th in the country in total rebounding. Offensively, Fordham is 138th in scoring offense this season. The Rams are just 266th in field goal percentage and 225th in 3pt field goal percentage. They can be sloppy as well, ranked just 284th in turnovers per game.

Key Injuries: G Zach Riley is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game.

Middle of the Pack

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies' current record is indicative of how the team has performed thus far this season, right around the middle of the pack. The Bonnies are 10-10 on the season and 4-3 in Atlantic 10 play after losing three out of their last five games. They are also near the middle of the field in the Atlantic 10 standings. On Saturday afternoon, the Bonnies dropped a winnable game on the road against a struggling Loyola Chicago team, 67-55. St. Bonaventure shot just 31 percent from the field overall and was just 4-of-22 from long range. Chad Venning led the way for the Bonnies with a game-high 16 points in the team's 10th loss of the season.

The Bonnies' inconsistencies certainly have played out on the offensive end of the floor this season. St. Bonaventure is ranked just 259th in the county in scoring per game. The team is ranked 257th in the nation in field goal percentage but has shot better from long range, ranking 160th in 3pt shooting. The Bonnies are slightly above average in protecting the basketball, ranking 125th in the nation. The Bonnies have done a better job on the defensive end, ranking 87th in scoring defense. They are also ranked 119th in the opponent's field goal percentage and have been excellent defending the three-point shot, ranking 12th in the country. Finally, the Bonnies check in at 211th in total rebounding.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

The Bonnies have been an up-and-down team all season and that is quite evident in the team's 9-1 mark at home vs. its 0-7 record on the road. Fordham has not won three straight road games in A-10 play in 20 seasons. The Rams have struggled to protect the basketball and those turnovers will come back to haunt them against a Bonnies team that plays very well at home. Look for St. Bonaventure to clamp down on Fordham on the defensive end and take advantage of turnovers to put up enough points to pick up its 10th win at home this season.

Take the over.

Prediction: Bonnies -3.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

The Bonnies are just 259th in scoring offense this season and play at one of the slowest paces in the country, ranking just 281st. While Fordham plays at a relatively fast pace, ranking 67th in pace of play, I am leaning towards St. Bonaventure to dictate pace of play at home. The Bonnies have held the opposition to just 62 points per game in their last five home games. I expect a similar output from Fordham in this game, which will keep this one under the total.

Take the under.

Prediction: Under
