Omaha Mavericks vs. Colorado State Rams

Where: Moby Arena, Fort Collins, CO

When: Wednesday, November 13, 9:00 PM. ET.

The Colorado State Rams will be trying to bounce back from their loss to Duke when they take on the Omaha Mavericks in the Cayman Island Classic on Wednesday night.

Mavericks Going For Third Consecutive Win

The Mavericks bounced back from their season-opening loss to Wichita State by winning their last two games. They will be trying to make it three wins in a row as they try to pick up their first road win of the year on Wednesday.

Omaha has played well on the defensive end, holding opponents to 60.7 points per game. They held their last two opponents to 57 points per game and will need to keep playing well defensively to give themselves a chance against the Rams.

Offensively, the Mavericks aren’t lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 72 points per game. The team did play well in its last game, dropping 90 points on Bethune-Cookman, and will need a similar performance to make things easier on Wednesday.

JT Gibson led the way for the Mavericks in the win with 26 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Zach Thornhill chipped in 19 points and four assists, while Matt Pile finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks.

Rams Going For Second Consecutive Home Win

The Rams ventured out on the road to take on Duke in their last game and ended up getting blown out of the game, giving them their first loss of the year. They will be trying to bounce back from the loss and pick up their second straight home win when they face the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Colorado State hasn’t played well offensively this season, averaging 64.5 points per game. The team is shooting 39 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from three-point range and will need to shoot a better percentage to pick up wins this season.

In their last game, the Rams were held to 55 points by the Blue Devils after shooting 32 percent from the field and 23 percent from three-point range.

David Roddy led the way for the Rams with 12 points and six rebounds. Isaiah Stevens also finished with 12 points, while Nico Carvacho added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Rams.

Colorado State has also struggled defensively, giving up 76 points per game. They gave up 89 points in their last game and will need to play significantly better to get the win on Wednesday.

Insiders Status:

Rating:

The Rams have struggled against the spread when playing teams with winning records and have also struggled offensively this season, averaging 64.5 points per game. They will have a hard time scoring against the Mavericks, who are giving up 60.7 points per game. In addition to the team struggling on offense, their defense hasn’t been very good, giving up 76 points per game. The Mavericks haven’t been consistent offensively, but they are averaging 72 points per game and have a stingy defense, making them the best bet here.

Prediction: Omaha Mavericks

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

The Rams are struggling offensively, averaging 64.5 points per game and will stay below their season average against a defense that is holding opponents to 60.7 points per game. The Mavericks are scoring 72 points per game but scored 90 points in their last game. Even though they likely won’t score close to 90 points in this game, they will come close to 80 points, but it won’t be enough to take the score over the total.
