UC Irvine Anteaters vs. Boise State Broncos

Where: ExtraMile Arena, Boise, ID

When: Friday, November 15, 9:00 PM. ET.

The Boise State Broncos will be trying to bounce back from their loss to Oregon when they take on the UC Irvine Anteaters on Friday night.

Anteaters Going For Second Consecutive Win

The Anteaters were able to rebound from their first loss of the season with a win over NAIA’s Life Pacific Warriors. They will be trying to pick up their second consecutive win and third win in their first four games when they play the Broncos on Friday.

UC Irvine has played well offensively, averaging 82.3 points per game. The team is shooting 49 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range.

In their last game, they put up a season-high 98 points on 54 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent from three-point range.

Collin Welp led the team with 18 points and five rebounds. Aiden Krause had a season-high 15 points and seven rebounds, while Brad Greene added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Anteaters, who finished with four players scoring in double figures.

Defensively, the Anteaters are giving up 67.3 points per game, which is 166th in the country. They held the Warriors to 52 points in the win, but they will be facing a much better team on Friday and have to play better than they did in their first two games if they want to get the win.

Broncos Going For Second Win In Three Games

The Broncos followed up their season-opening win over Life Pacific with a loss to 15th-ranked Oregon and will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Anteaters, who have won two of their last three games.

In order to pick up the win, the Broncos will have to do a better job defensively, after giving up 106 points to the Ducks. With the team playing only two games, it is difficult to tell how good they are defensively, but they did a better job against the Warriors than the Anteaters, which should give them some confidence going into the game.

Offensively, the Broncos are averaging 100.5 points per game. The team is shooting 53 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from three-point range.

Against the Ducks, they shot 42 percent from the field and 26 percent from three-point range. Derrick Alston led the way for the Broncos with 28 points and two rebounds. Alex Hobbs finished with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while RJ Williams finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. If they shoot the ball as they did against Life Pacific, they will pick up the win on Friday.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

The Anteaters have played well so far, but the Broncos are the best bet here because they have one of the best offenses in the country, averaging 100.5 points per game, and will be too much for the Anteaters to handle. Even though the Anteaters are holding opponents to a respectable 67.3 points per game, they haven’t played an opponent as good as Boise State and lost to the last team they faced that had a potent offense. Even though the Broncos gave up 106 points in their last game, they were facing 15th ranked Oregon, which knocked off 13th ranked Memphis in their next game, and likely won’t play as poorly as they did in that game. The Anteaters will not be easy to defend, but the Broncos are the deeper team and will eventually contain their offense and pick up the win.

Prediction: Boise State Broncos

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

The Broncos are averaging 100.5 points per game, but they will likely be held to 80 points by the Anteaters, who are giving up 67.3 points per game. The Anteaters are averaging 82.3 points per game and will put up at least 70 points on the Broncos, which will be enough to push the score over the total in this game.

Prediction: Over

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

The Anteaters will cover the first-half spread in this game because they have outplayed the Broncos in the first half, averaging 37.5 points per game while the Broncos average 30 points per game.

Prediction: UC Irvine Anteaters

Half-Time Total Bet

Insiders Status:

The Broncos and Anteaters are averaging 67.5 combined points per game in the first half and will fall short of the first half total in this game if they maintain their current scoring pace.
