UC Irvine has played well offensively, averaging 82.3 points per game. The team is shooting 49 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range.
In their last game, they put up a season-high 98 points on 54 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent from three-point range.
Collin Welp led the team with 18 points and five rebounds. Aiden Krause had a season-high 15 points and seven rebounds, while Brad Greene added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Anteaters, who finished with four players scoring in double figures.
Defensively, the Anteaters are giving up 67.3 points per game, which is 166th in the country. They held the Warriors to 52 points in the win, but they will be facing a much better team on Friday and have to play better than they did in their first two games if they want to get the win.
Broncos Going For Second Win In Three GamesThe Broncos followed up their season-opening win over Life Pacific with a loss to 15th-ranked Oregon and will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Anteaters, who have won two of their last three games.
Coach Rice: “Kasean is a long, athletic wing with huge upside. He has a great combination of skill and feel not often seen in players his size. His game and body type is in the mold of James Webb and Derrick Alston, and he will be a tremendous fit in our system.” pic.twitter.com/alCsp4DINd— Boise State MBB (@BroncoSportsMBB) November 13, 2019
In order to pick up the win, the Broncos will have to do a better job defensively, after giving up 106 points to the Ducks. With the team playing only two games, it is difficult to tell how good they are defensively, but they did a better job against the Warriors than the Anteaters, which should give them some confidence going into the game.
Offensively, the Broncos are averaging 100.5 points per game. The team is shooting 53 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from three-point range.
Against the Ducks, they shot 42 percent from the field and 26 percent from three-point range. Derrick Alston led the way for the Broncos with 28 points and two rebounds. Alex Hobbs finished with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while RJ Williams finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. If they shoot the ball as they did against Life Pacific, they will pick up the win on Friday.
