This Saturday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Creighton Bluejays. This will be the first meeting between these teams this season and it will take place at the CHI Health Center Omaha.

Louisiana Tech Looks To Remain Undefeated

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have looked great so far this season. The Bulldogs have won each of their first two games of the season by at least 33 points including a 46 point victory against Wiley at home in their last game. In that game, Louisiana Tech's offense was great as it scored 98 points while shooting 50.7% from the floor. However, Louisiana Tech's undefeated record is inflated as it has yet to face a team better than Texas A&M-CC this season. That will change on Saturday as Louisiana Tech will get its first true test of the season on the road in one of the most hostile environments in the country. Only time will tell if the Bulldogs are truly up for the challenge.

Leading the Bulldogs offensively is junior guard Kalob Ledoux who has been pretty good so far this season. He is averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game along with 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists.Ledoux has also yet to miss a free throw this season so he has the ability to put games away late when he is needed to. However, he has been a bit inefficient as he is shooting 42.9% from the floor which he will need to improve upon moving forward.

Louisiana Tech's most underrated player is senior forward Mubarak Muhammed who has been solid this season. Offensively, he is averaging just 4.5 points per game along with 6.0 rebounds. Defensively, he is averaging a team-high 2.0 blocks per game along with 1.5 steals in just 13.5 minutes per game. Muhammed has become the defensive anchor for this team and he will look to continue remaining active on both sides of the ball.

Creighton Looks For A Bounce Back Win At Home

The Creighton Bluejays have been mediocre so far this season in a very limited sample size. The Bluejays have won half of their first two games of the season but suffered a ten-point loss against Michigan on the road in their last game. In that game, Creighton's defense was awful as it allowed 79 points on 56.6% shooting from the floor. It is almost impossible for any team to win when it lets the opposition shoot north of 55% from the floor and Creighton had to learn that the hard way. Now, Creighton will be looking for an improved defensive performance which might lead to a bounce-back victory at home that will get the Bluejays a winning record once again.

Leading the Bluejays offensively is junior guard Ty-Shon Alexanderwho has been great so far this season. He is averaging a team-high 19.5 points per game along with 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. In addition, he is shooting 50.0% from the three-point line and 100.0% from the free-throw line so he has the ability to take over a game whenever he wants to. Alexander decided to return to college for another season and he definitely appears to be a future selection in the NBA Draft.

Creighton's most underrated player is sophomore forward Christian Bishop who has been decent this season. He is averaging 10.0 points per game along with 6.0 assists in just 21.0 minutes of action. In addition, Bishop has also turned into a solid rim protector as he is averaging a team-high 1.5 blocks per game. Now, Bishop will look to alter even more shots in Saturday's game.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

In recent years, Creighton has had one of the most electric home courts in all of college basketball and that tradition has continued into this season so I cannot go against the Bluejays in this game. Creighton won its only home game up to this point by 26 points while Louisiana Tech has yet to face a quality opponent in such a hostile environment. As a result, I think that Louisiana Tech will be overwhelmed by Creighton's home court as the Bluejays blow this game open at some point en route to a cover at home. Give me the home team as a result.

Prediction: Creighton

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Both teams play an uptempo style of offense so I can see this game turning into a track meet. Louisiana Tech is averaging 90.0 points per game while Creighton is averaging 75.0 points per game against decent competition so I think this total is too low. Both teams can get into the 80s if they shoot well enough due to the pace and the opportunities in transition on both ends which should lead to a game with a ton of fireworks offensively. Plus, both teams are extremely unselfish with the ball so they should be taking good shots on most possessions. Give me the over.

Prediction: Over

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Louisiana Tech might be 1-0 on the road this season but it has yet to step into the CHI Health Center Omaha so I think that the Bulldogs will struggle a bit more than people anticipate. Plus, Creighton is entering this game off a tough road loss to Michigan so I think that the Bluejays will look to get out to an extremely fast start as they will look for a much-needed bounce back victory. This game might be close for a little while but Creighton has superior shooters on its roster and I think that the Bluejays will shoot the lights out against an unsuspecting Bulldogs' defense in the first 20 minutes. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Creighton 1H
