The Richmond Spiders will be going for their third consecutive win when they take on the CSU Northridge Matadors on Sunday afternoon.

If the Matadors want to pick up the win, they will have to do a better job on the defensive end than they have done so far. CSU Northridge is giving up 98.5 points per game, which is 325th in the country. In their last game, Terrell Gomez led the Matadors with 23 points and two assists, while Brendan Harrick added 17 points and three rebounds.
Spiders Trying To Stay PerfectThe Spiders have won their first two games of the season, but they barely got past Vanderbilt in their last game and will be trying to jump out to a fast start in this game to prevent the Matadors from having a chance to hand them their first loss of the season.

Like the Matadors, the Spiders haven’t played well defensively this year, giving up 95 points per game. Their defense hasn’t cost them a game yet, but they will struggle this year if they don’t fix their defensive issues quickly.
Richmond has been great offensively, which has helped the team mask their defensive struggled. They are averaging 96.5 points per game, which is fourth in the country. The team is shooting 48 percent from the field and 38 percent from three-point range.
