This Sunday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the UCF Knights and the Illinois State Redbirds. This will be the only meeting between these teams this season and it will take place at Redbird Arena.

Illinois State Looks To Remain Undefeated

The Illinois State Redbirds have looked great so far this season. The Redbirds have won each of their first two games of the season by double digits including a five-point victory against Little Rock at home in their last game. In that game, Illinois State's offense was solid as it scored 75 points while shooting 41.7% from the three-point line. The Redbirds have been fortunate that their first two games have been at home up to this point and they are even more fortunate that this game is also at home as Illinois State will look to keep its undefeated record intact on Sunday against a non-conference foe.

Leading the Redbirds offensively is senior guard Zach Copeland who has been great so far this season. He is averaging a team-high 19.5 points per game along with 4.5 assists. In addition, he has also been extremely efficient as he is shooting 56.0% from the floor and 41.7% from the three-point line. Copeland is the main cog in this offense and he has the ability to lead his team to another home victory in this game.

Illinois State's most underrated player is sophomore forward Rey Idowu who has been pretty good so far this season. Specifically, he is averaging 11.5 points per game along with 5.0 rebounds which is the most on the active roster. In addition, Idowu has also been extremely efficient from the floor as he is shooting 64.3% from the floor. Now, Idowu will look to continue playing well on Sunday.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

This year's UCF team is decent at best but Illinois State has looked extremely impressive up to this point in the season so I will take the Redbirds once again at home. Illinois State has the offensive firepower to take control of any game and I think that UCF simply does not have the shooting ability to keep pace. This game will be close but I expect Illinois State to kick it into another gear at some point and to leave UCF in the dust as the Redbirds build up a big enough lead to eventually cover the spread. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Illinois State

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Both teams like to play relatively uptempo styles of offense so I will take the over. Both teams are also allowing at least 71.0 points per game defensively so neither unit is particularly gifted on the defensive side of the ball which should lead to more points. Plus, Illinois State has been one of the best three-pointing shooting teams in the nation as it is shooting an insane 46.0% from downtown so it has the ability to put up points in bunches whenever it needs to so I think that this total is too low. Give me the over.

Prediction: Over

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

UCF is still being regarded as a quality team in its conference due to last season's impressive run and I think that the Knights are still being overvalued as a result. UCF lost some key pieces from that team and it has looked very unimpressive in its first two home games. Meanwhile, Illinois State has already beaten an underrated Belmont team at home and I think that it will get out to a fast start in this game behind the home crowd. This game should be close for the first 15 minutes but I can see Illinois State going on a late run to close out the first half. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Illinois State 1H
