The Panthers are 2-3 so far and are on a two-game losing streak after a 76-72 home loss on Wednesday to the St. Thomas-Minnesota Tommies.

Aggies Need to Continue Playing Well

The UC Davis Aggies have been playing well and continued to showcase that with an 82-71 home win over the Sacramento State Hornets. They scored well in the second half as they finished with 49 points. They shot the ball extremely well as they were 30-of-62 (8244 percent) overall, 8-of-17 (47.1 percent) from the three, and 22 free-throw attempts. Junior guard Elijah Pepper led the team as in 35 minutes he finished with 24 points, six rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and three turnovers. Defensively, they need to improve from allowing 48 percent from the floor and 24 free-throw attempts. They did well as they finished with seven steals and two blocks throughout the game.

The UC Davis Aggies are dominating this season as they are 80th in the nation with 79.4 points per game thus far and shooting an outstanding 48.5 percent from the floor with 16 assists per game. Defensively, they are giving up 69.6 points per game, which is 199th in NCAA. They need to improve with 4.2 blocks and 5.8 steals per game thus far.

Panthers on the Prowl

The Milwaukee Panthers are coming off a tough 76-72 home loss against the St. Thomas-Minnesota Tommies and it does not help when you are given 41 points in the second half. They were able to shoot the ball well as they finished shooting 47.5 percent throughout the game, 52.9 percent from beyond the arc, and nine free-throw shots. Senior forward Ahmad Rand led Milwaukee as in 20 minutes he finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, one steal, and four blocks. Defensively, they struggled as St. Thomas finished 50.9 percent from the floor, 41.7 percent from three, but also shot 17 free-throw attempts. The Bulldogs were able to record six steals and nine blocks over the course of the game.

The Milwaukee Panthers have been a great offensive team with 78.4 points per game, which is 95th in the country, while also dishing out 15.4 assists per game. They’ve been shooting incredibly well at 48.8 percent from the field so far. On the defensive side of things, they are 64th in the nation with 62.4 points per game as well. They recorded 5.8 blocks and 10.2 steals per game this season to continue dominating on that side of things.
