This Saturday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the Syracuse Orange and the Georgetown Hoyas. This will take place at the Capital One Arena.

Syracuse Looks For Another Solid Road Performance

The Syracuse Orange have looked a bit underwhelming up to this point in the season. The Orange have won five of their first nine games of the season including a 34-point victory against Georgia Tech on the road in their last game. In that game, Syracuse's offense was amazing as it scored a season-high 97 points while shooting 50.9% from the floor. That performance was particularly surprising considering the fact that it was Syracuse's first game on the road. Now, the Orange will be looking for another solid performance on the road against a hostile environment on Saturday.

Leading the Orange offensively is junior guard Elijah Hughes who has been solid so far this season. He is averaging a team-high 19.6 points per game along with 4.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists. In addition, he is also shooting 43.8% from the three-point line so he has been lethal from downtown up to this point.

Syracuse's most underrated player is junior forward Marek Dolezaj who has been pretty good so far this season. He is averaging 9.1 points along with 5.8 rebounds in 31.4 minutes per game. In addition, he has also been extremely smart with his shot selection as he is shooting 58.7% from the floor.

Full-Game Side Bet

Rating:

Even though Georgetown has been a bit inconsistent this season, Syracuse has underachieved up to this point and I do not trust the Orange in this road game. Georgetown has a significant advantage on the interior and I expect the Hoyas to dominate the boards as they should have a ton of second chance point opportunities which I think will lead to the difference on the scoreboard. I think that this game will be close but Georgetown will do enough late to cover. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Georgetown

Full-Game Total Pick

Rating:

Syracuse is one of the only teams in college basketball that still plays a zone defense so I expect a much slower pace in this game since the Orange will force the game to be played at a slower pace. Georgetown typically likes to get out in transition but I think that Syracuse will do a good job at getting back on defense and setting up its zone which should lead to some long possessions in the halfcourt for Georgetown. This total is too high as a result. Give me the under.

Prediction: Under

Half-Time Side Pick

Rating:

Syracuse plays a very unique defense and I expect Georgetown to struggle dealing with it in the first 20 minutes of this game before the coaching staff can make some needed adjustments at halftime. Syracuse might be a little short on talent this season but it is still a well-coached team and I expect the Orange to play extremely hard for the first 20 minutes as they will give the Hoyas all they can handle in the first half. Give me the road team.
