This Saturday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the Marquette Golden Eagles and the Kansas State Wildcats. This meeting will take place at the Bramlage Coliseum and it will occur at about 9:00 P.M.

Marquette Looks For Its First Road Win

The Marquette Golden Eagles have looked like a solid basketball team so far this season. The Golden Eagles have won six of their first eight games of the season including a 19-point win against Jacksonville in their last game. In that game, Marquette's defense was great as it only allowed 56 points while forcing its opposition to shoot just 28.6% from the floor. Now, Marquette has to travel on the road as it will be looking for its first road win of the season over the weekend. If the Golden Eagles plan on winning this game, they will need to continue playing solid defense for all 40 minutes.

Leading the Golden Eagles offensively is senior guard Markus Howard who has been solid this season. He is currently averaging a team-high 26.0 points per game along with 2.6 assists. In addition, he is also shooting 44.3% from the three-point line as he is known for his scoring prowess all across the nation.

Marquette's most underrated player is junior forward Theo John whohas been pretty good this season. So far this season, John is averaging 5.4 points along with 4.3 rebounds per game. In addition, he has been great defensively as he is averaging a team-high 2.1 blocks per game. Now, he will look to continue playing well on both sides of the ball on Saturday.

Kansas State Looks For Another Home Win

The Kansas State Wildcats have looked like an above-average team up to this point in the season. The Wildcats have won five of their first seven games including an 18-point victory against Florida A&M in their last game. In that game, Kansas State's defense was amazing as it only allowed 58 points while forcing the opposition to shoot just 9.1% from the three-point line. The main reason for Kansas State's success has been its dominance at home as the Wildcats are still undefeated through four home games. Now, the Wildcats will be looking for another home win on Saturday.

Leading the Wildcats offensively is senior forward Xavier Sneed who looked solid this season. He is currently averaging 15.0 points per game along with 5.6 rebounds. However, he is just shooting 41.9% from the floor and 30.8% from the three-point line so he will need to start being more efficient moving forward.

Kansas State's most underrated player is junior guard Cartier Diarrawho has been good so far this season. He is currently averaging 11.4 points per game along with a team-high 6.9 assists. However, Diarra is only shooting 37.8% from the floor as he will look to get back on track at home in this game.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Kansas State is the better team in this matchup and I think that it will show in this home game on Saturday. Kansas State has an elite defense and I think that it should be able to force the ball out of Howard's hands which should give the Wildcats a great chance at winning this game. Meanwhile, Marquette has been a bit inconsistent defensively so I expect Kansas State to get better quality looks for all 40 minutes. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Kansas State -1.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Both teams are averaging allowing less than 67 points per game so I think that this total is too high. Marquette's offense starts and ends with Howard so I expect the Wildcats to come up with a great defensive gameplan for him which will lead to some offensive issues for Marquette in this game. At the same time, Kansas State's offense has been terrible all season long so I think that both teams will finish in the low 60s. Give me the under as a result.

Prediction: Under 134

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Kansas State has an elite home-court advantage and I expect the Wildcats to play extremely well in the first 20 minutes of this game in front of the home crowd on Saturday. Plus, Marquette has only played in one true road game up to this point so I think that the Golden Eagles will come out a bit flat in such a hostile environment. This half will be low-scoring but I think that Kansas State should be able to grab a lead entering the break. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Kansas State 1H
