This Saturday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the UNLV Rebels and the BYU Cougars. This meeting will take place at the Vivint Smart Home Arena and it will occur at roughly 3:00 P.M.

UNLV Looks To Overcome Slow Start

The UNLV Mavericks have looked underwhelming up to this point in the season. The Rebels have lost six of its first ten games despite winning their last game against Fresno State on the road by one point. In that game, UNLV was tremendous on the glass as it recorded 15 more rebounds than Fresno State which played a huge factor in the outcome of the game. If the Rebels are able to control the boards once again in this game, they will put themselves in a great position to pull the upset.

Leading the Rebels offensively is junior guardAmauri Hardy who has looked good this season. He is averaging a team-high 17.7 points per game along with 3.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds. In addition, Hardy is shooting 39.5% from the three-point line as he will look to continue shooting well from deep in this game.

UNLV's most underrated player is junior centerCheikh Mbacke Diong who has looked great this season. He is currently averaging 8.8 points per game along with a team-high 10.1 rebounds. In addition, Diong has been elite defensively as he is leading the team with 1.4 blocks per game.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Even though this game is technically on a neutral site, it will be taking place in Utah so there should be more BYU fans in attendance which should benefit the Cougars in this game. Plus, BYU has been the much better team up to this point and I think that it should be able to cover this spread as a result. BYU has been the much better offensive team and I think that UNLV will not be able to score enough points to keep up. Give me the Cougars.

Prediction: BYU

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

BYU loves to play an uptempo style of play so I think that this total is too low. BYU will run up and down the court while shooting a ton of three-pointers as this game has the potential to turn into a track meet. Plus, BYU does not play a lot of defense so UNLV should be encouraged to also play at a faster tempo due to the ample opportunities in transition. This game should end somewhere in the 150s as a result so I have to take the under.

Prediction: Over

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

BYU has been an above average team up to this point and I expect the Cougars to play well in their home state on Saturday. Meanwhile, UNLV will have to travel for this game and I think that the Rebels will struggle in such a hostile environment for at least the first 20 minutes. BYU will use its solid offense to overwhelm UNLV's defense as it should be able to open up a decent lead that will carry over into the break. Give me the Cougars.

Prediction: BYU 1H
