This Friday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the Denver Pioneers and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. This game will take place at Frost Arena at approximately 8:00 P.M EST.
Denver Looks To Snap Losing Streak
The Denver Pioneers have looked like an awful college basketball team so far this season. The Pioneers have lost 20 of their first 25 games and they enter this game following a seven-point loss to Purdue Fort Wayne on the road in their last game. In that game, Denver's offense struggled as it only scored 63 points while committing 17 turnovers. To make matters worse, Denver enters this game in terrible form as it has lost each of its last five games. Now, the Pioneers will be looking to snap this losing streak with a conference road game up next. However, Denver has lost each of its first 11 road games this season so the odds of it actually winning this game are very slim.
Leading the Pioneers offensively is sophomore guardJase Townsend who has looked pretty good this season as he is averaging a team-high 17.9 points along with 5.4 rebounds per game. However, he is also averaging a team-high 2.5 turnovers per game so he might need to limit his mistakes in the future.
Denver's most underrated player is senior guardAde Murkey who has been solid this season. He is currently averaging 16.4 points per game along with a team-high 5.6 rebounds. In addition, he is averaging 1.2 steals per game so he has been very active on both sides of the ball.
Jackrabbits Look To Extend Winning Streak
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits have looked like a very solid college basketball team up to this point in the season. The Jackrabbits have won 18 of their first 26 games and they enter this game on a high note after beating Omaha by 17 points at home in their last game. In that game, South Dakota State's offense was solid as it scored 81 points while shooting 51.7% from the floor. In addition, South Dakota State has won each of its last four games so it will be looking to extend this winning streak with another home game up next. Luckily, the Jackrabbits have won all 13 home games this season so they should be able to put together another solid performance on Friday.
Leading the Jackrabbits offensively is junior forward Douglas Wilson who has looked pretty good this season. He is averaging a team-high 17.9 points per game along with a team-high 6.4 rebounds. In addition, he is shooting 60.7% from the floor so he has been very efficient offensively.
South Dakota State's most underrated player is sophomore forward Matt Dentlinger who has looked really good this season. He is currently averaging 11.8 points per game along with 5.8 rebounds. In addition, he is averaging a team-high 1.1 blocks per game so he has been a solid rim protector up to this point.
