Mastodons Look For Rare Road Win

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons have looked like a slightly below average college basketball team so far this season. The Mastodons have lost 14 of their first 26 games but they enter this game on a high note after beating Denver on the road by seven points in their last game. In that game, Purdue Fort Wayne's defense was great as it allowed just 63 points while forcing the opposition to commit 17 turnovers. That win was a bit surprising considering the fact that the Mastodons have a 3-10 record on the road this season. Now, Purdue Fort Wayne will be looking for another rare road victory in this conference game on Friday.

Leading the Mastodons offensively is sophomore guard Jarred Godfrey who has looked pretty good this season as he is averaging a team-high 15.8 points along with 4.5 rebounds per game. In addition, he is averaging 1.1 steals per game so he has been very active on both sides of the ball.

Purdue Fort Wayne's most underrated player is junior guard Brian Patrick who has been solid this season as he is averaging 12.2 points per game along with 3.8 rebounds. In addition, he is shooting 45.5% from the floor so he has been pretty efficient offensively up to this point.

Bison Look To Extend Winning Streak

The North Dakota State Bison have looked like a very good college basketball team up to this point in the season. The Bison have won 18 of their first 25 games and they enter this game on a high note after beating Oral Roberts at home by seven points at home in their last game. In that game, North Dakota State's offense was great as it scored 83 points while shooting 52.9% from the floor. In addition, the Bison have been playing some great basketball lately as they have won each of their last five games. Now, North Dakota State will be looking to extend its current winning streak with another home game on Friday.

Leading the Bison offensively is senior guard Vinnie Shahid who has been very solid this season as he is averaging a team-high 18.1 points per game along with 3.3 rebounds. In addition, he is averaging 1.2 steals per game so he has been great on both sides of the ball

North Dakota State's most underrated player is senior guard Tyson Ward who has been good this season. He is averaging 15.3 points per game along with a team-high 7.2 rebounds. In addition, he is shooting 53.0% from the floor so he has been very efficient offensively up to this point.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

North Dakota State has looked like the much better team so far this season so I have to take the better team in this game. North Dakota State has been very solid at home this season while Purdue Fort Wayne has been very shaky on the road so I think that this spread is a bit too low. North Dakota State has a 10-1 record at home while Purdue Fort Wayne has a 3-10 record on the road so I would not be surprised to see the Mastodons struggle once again in a hostile environment on Friday. Give me the home team.

Prediction: North Dakota State -12.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Both of these teams have been pretty good offensively so I think that this total is a bit too low. North Dakota State is averaging 74.0 points per game while Purdue Fort Wayne is averaging 69.7 points per game so I think that this game should finish somewhere in the 140s. Plus, North Dakota State ranks 76th in the nation in adjusted offensive efficiency according to Kenpom Rankings so I think that it should be able to score at least 80 points against an inferior opponent at home. As a result, I think that there is some value with the over in this spot.

Prediction: Over 138.5

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

North Dakota State has been playing some great basketball lately as it has won each of its last five games so I expect it to come out with a lot of energy in the first half of this home game. North Dakota State is also tied for first place in the conference standings while Purdue Fort Wayne still has a losing record in conference play which makes me believe that there is a serious talent disparity in this matchup. Plus, Purdue Fort Wayne is allowing about five more points per game so I do not think that it will be able to get enough stops in order to cover this first half spread. Give me the home team.

Prediction: North Dakota State 1H
