Vikings also lose tough one
Cleveland State has struggled all season, They finally won a game on Feb. 9 against Milwaukee at home, 78-68, which broke a three-game losing streak. But on Thursday, they went back to losing, falling to Illinois-Chicago (8-5 Horizon), 81-77. The Flames won their fourth straight thanks to 20 points Marcus Ottey and a 51 percent shooting day from the field. The big issue for Cleveland State was their foul shooting, as they made just 12-of-23 (52.2%). Foul shooting has been an issue this season with the Vikings averaging just 67.2 percent (286th). Tyree Appleby led Cleveland State with 16 points and five assists.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Cleveland State is not going to get too many opportunities to get a win. When you’re playing a team that is 3-8 on the road and has a key player banged up (in Goss), you have to take advantage. They played a solid game against Illinois-Chicago and I expect them to take this one outright.
Prediction: Cleveland State +4.5
Full-Game Total Pick
These are bad teams for a reason. They play little defense. Indiana-Purdue is 5-2 Over their last 7 Saturday games, while Cleveland State is 8-3 Over their last 11 Saturday games. The Jaguars have gone over in three of four games, while Cleveland State has gone over in two straight.
Prediction: Over 148
