This Wednesday, there is an NCAAB matchup between the East Tennessee State Buccaneers and the Wofford Terriers. This meeting will take place at the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium and it will occur at approximately 7:00 PM.
East Tennessee State Looks To Extend Winning Streak
The East Tennessee State Buccaneers have looked like a very underrated college basketball team so far this season. The Buccaneers have won 25 of their first 29 games and they enter this game on a high note after beating Samford on the road by six points in their last game. In that game, East Tennessee State's offense was solid as it scored 80 points while shooting 47.1% from the floor. In addition, the Buccaneers have won each of their last seven games so they will be looking to extend this winning streak on Wednesday. Now, East Tennessee State will be looking for another road victory in this conference game.
Leading the Buccaneers offensively is junior guardTray Boyd III who has been great this season. He is averaging a team-high 13.7 points per game along with 2.1 assists. In addition, he is averaging 1.5 steals per game so he has been very active on both sides of the ball.
East Tennessee State's most underrated player is senior forwardJeromy Rodriguez who has been really good so far this season. He is averaging 10.7 points per game along with a team-high 7.9 rebounds. In addition, he is shooting 64.7% from the floor so he has been very efficient offensively up to this point.
Wofford Looks To Snap Losing Streak
The Wofford Terriers have looked like a slightly above average college basketball team so far this season. The Terriers have won 16 of their first 29 games this season despite entering this game on a low note after losing to Furman by one point on the road in their last game. In that game, Wofford's offense struggled as it only scored 66 points while shooting just 28.1% from the three-point line. To make matters worse, the Terriers have lost each of their last five games so they have been playing some terrible basketball lately. Now, Wofford will be looking to snap its current losing streak with a conference home game up next.
Leading the Terriers offensively is senior guardNathan Hoover who has been okay this season as he is averaging a team-high 15.7 points per game along with 3.9 rebounds. However, he is shooting just 36.9% from the floor so he has been very inefficient offensively up to this point in the season.
