Tookie Brown scored a season-high 32 points and Quan Jackson added 23 as Georgia Southern took control with a 15-2 run at the end of the first half to open a 13-point halftime lead. The Eagles shot a season-high 66.7 percent (10 for 15) from 3-point range and 53.8 percent overall as they topped the century mark for the first time this season against a Division I opponent and third time overall.

“He had tremendous energy all game,” Warhawks coach Keith Richard told the school’s official website. “Obviously, he made some big plays late. … His driving ability was a big story for us. We needed some 2-point goals in this game and I thought he got enough for us.”
Smith had a strong game in last month’s loss to Georgia Southern, finishing with 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists. The Wichita State transfer leads the Sun Belt with 68 3-pointers made and is sixth in 3-point shooting percentage (43.3).

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
While the Eagles are coming off a solid win and offensive effort, Louisiana-Monroe has been a tough out at home and riding high after taking down the Sun Belt leaders. The Warhawks are also out for revenge after losing on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Jackson in last month’s game at Georgia Southern that capped a rally from 10 down in the final 12:09.
Both teams are playing well, but after gaining revenge against the Panthers on Wednesday night, look for the Warhawks to complete the sweep here.
Prediction: Pick: Louisiana-Monroe pick ’em
Full-Game Total Pick
It would not be surprising to see this number inch higher during the overnight. The teams played to 157 in the first meeting — narrowly missing the over/under of 159 — and the Warhawks have played to 158 and higher in four of their six Sun Belt home games.
Georgia Southern has averaged 165.5 points in its 11 road games thus far and 162.0 in conference road games. The Eagles have also reached 172 and higher in three of their last four games outside Statesboro.
Prediction: Pick: OVER 162.5 points
Half-Time Side Pick
The Warhawks have yet to trail at home against Division I opponents, leading by four or more points in all nine games and by nine or more in three of its five conference home games. Though the Eagles led by 13 at Louisiana on Wednesday night after 20 minutes, it was the first time they held a halftime lead in six road games in Sun Belt play.
Prediction: Louisiana-Monroe pick ’em
Half-Time Total Bet
The teams played to a 71-point first half at Georgia Southern, and the Eagles are coming off a 51-point performance in the first 20 minutes of their win at Louisiana. The Warhawks have been held under 40 just once in their five home games in conference play and have reached 74 or higher in three of their last four games at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Prediction: Pick: OVER 76.5 points
