Creighton Eyes Sixth Consecutive Victory
The Creighton Bluejays are one of the hottest squads in the Big East. They have won six games in a row fueled by the defense. Creighton has not lost a game since January 11th. They have defeated Providence and Xavier in the winning streak, and most recently, were marked 9.5-point favorites in a 66-61 home win against Villanova on Saturday. The Bluejays are 9-3 in Big East play and have covered the spread in one out of their last three conference road games.

The sophomore guard is averaging 13.5 PPG on the season and is shooting 40% from beyond the arc. Baylor Scheierman has three double-doubles in Big East play. The senior guard is posting an average of 13 PPG.

The Creighton Bluejays are winning games but this is a difficult road matchup. Creighton has only won two of their six road games on the season and Seton Hall is stellar at home. The Pirates are getting better as the season progresses and have won seven out of their last eight games.
Furthermore, Seton Hall has a great defense that makes them difficult to beat. They have a slightly better defense than Creighton. The Pirates are allowing 93 points per 100 possessions, while the Bluejays are at 93.4. Also, Creighton is a team that relies on three-point shooting. They attempt an average of 24 threes per game and Seton Hall is one of the best in the country when it comes to defending the three. They are limiting opponents to 29.4% shooting from deep, good for 17th in DI.

I expect a lower-scoring game. The Bluejays' defense has been the key in their recent string of wins. They have conceded an average of only 60 points in their last three games and it’s no surprise the under delivered in all three in that span.
In addition, the Pirates' defense has been outstanding. They held Butler to 49 last week and DePaul to only 64 points on Sunday. Creighton has not been piling on the points, netting only 63 and 66 points respectively in their last two games against Georgetown and Villanova. The under is 4-1 in the Pirates’ last five games.
