Central Michigan Chippewas vs. Buffalo Bulls

Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH

When: Friday, March 15, 6:30 PM. ET.

The Buffalo Bulls will be trying to book a ticket to their third MAC Tournament finals in the last four season when they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas in the first tournament semifinal game on Friday night.

Chippewas Going For Fourth Consecutive Win

The Chippewas have looked impressive during their MAC tournament run and have won their last three games. They will be trying to advance to the tournament final for the first time since 2015 when they take on the Bulls on Friday.

Central Michigan lost its only regular-season meeting with the Bulls 90-76 and will try to get some payback for that loss as the team goes for its fourth consecutive win and eighth win in their last 10 games.

The Chippewas have played well offensive, averaging 82.5 points per game. The team is shooting 45 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range.

Larry Austin Jr. leads the way for the Chippewas with 17.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. Shawn Roundtree is averaging 16.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, while David DiLeo is averaging 12.1 points and five rebounds per game.

The Chippewas have struggled on defense and are giving up 75.8 points per game. They gave up 81 points in their last game and will need to do a better job if they want to eliminate the reigning conference champions.

Bulls Going For 11th Consecutive Win

The Bulls have dominated opponents this season, winning 29 of their 32 contests. They are coming off a 36-point blowout of Akron in the quarterfinals and will be hoping for similar results when they take on the Chippewas for a chance to pick up their 11th win in a row and to advance to the tournament finals.

Buffalo has an explosive offense that is averaging 85 points per game. The team is shooting 46 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range.

CJ Massinburg leads the way for the Bulls with 18.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Nick Perkins is averaging 14.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while Jeremy Harris is averaging 13.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

The Bulls have also played well defensively, holding opponents to 70.9 points per game. They held Akron to 46 points in their last game and will need a similar effort to get past the Chippewas on Friday.
