The Monmouth Hawks hope to add to the problems of the Princeton Tigers when traveling to Jadwin Gymnasium for a head-to-head meeting with the Ivy League school on Tuesday. Monmouth rolled over Radford and fended off Norfolk State in their previous two outings. Meanwhile, the Tigers are 1-6 on the season and 0-2 when playing on their home floor. They are coming off an 82-76 loss to Drexel last Wednesday.

Hawks streaking for the first time
Don’t mind Monmouth for extensively celebrating their hard-fought win over Norfolk State
. It was their first consecutive win of the season ahead of a long Thanksgiving break.
They’ve had well over a week to bask in their victory and nibble on some turkey. Some much-needed rest and recuperation should have them feeling reinvigorated heading into Tuesday’s showdown with the Tigers.
After looking like roadkill earlier in the season, the Hawks are finally soaring on offense after scoring 75-plus points in their last two consecutive outings. There should be plenty of confidence in their ability to keep that success going against a Princeton team that sits near the bottom in the country in defensive efficiency. This is the game for Deion Hammond to reach up and grab that proverbial brass ring and drag the Hawks to .500 win percentage.
The junior guard is coming off an impressive 24-point performance against Norfolk State.
Monmouth isn’t turning heads on the defensive end of the floor, but they have been much better than Princeton. They’ll be looking to shut down freshman Jaelin Llewellyn and a Tigers offense averaging 69.4 points with a 43.9 field goal shooting percentage.
