Where: Doyt Perry Stadium, Bowling Green, OH
When: Saturday, October 19, 2:00 PM. ET.
The Bowling Green Falcons will be going for a second consecutive win when they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas on Saturday afternoon.
Chippewas Going For Third Consecutive WinThe Chippewas followed up their two-game losing streak by winning their last two games and will try to extend their win streak to three games when they face the Falcons on Saturday. However, they will need to avoid overlooking the Falcons if they do not want to suffer the same fate Toledo did in their last game.
Central Michigan is a very good offensive team, averaging 32.3 points per game. They are averaging 233.1 passing yards per game, which is 71st in the country, but their strength is their ground game, which is 54th in the country. Even though they do a good job throwing and running, expect the, to focus on attacking the Falcons on the ground because the team has struggled against the run and is giving up 208 yards per game.
In their last game, the Chippewas ran roughshod over New Mexico State, finishing the game with 352 yards and three touchdowns on 54 carries. Expect them to keep the ball on the ground in this game until the Falcons show that they can stop the run.
Kobe Lewis led the Chippewas with 161 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, while Jonathan Ward added 131 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries.
Falcons Going For Third Consecutive Win Over ChippewasThe Falcons managed to snap their four-game losing streak with a win over Toledo in their last game and will try to keep the momentum going with a win over the Chippewas, which will give them their second win in a row and third consecutive win over the Chippewas.
Bowling Green’s biggest problem this season is its defense, which hasn’t looked good this season. The team is giving up 35.2 points per game and struggle against the run, which will cause them a lot of problems against the Chippewas.
The Falcons also haven’t played well on the offensive end, averaging 23.3 points per game. Like the Chippewas, their running game has been their strength this season. However, they will have a hard time running the ball against a team that is giving up 101.3 rushing yards per game.
With the team averaging only 174.2 passing yards per game, they will need a big game from quarterback
Grant Loy, to keep the defense guessing and give themselves a chance to pick up the win. In their last game, Loy completed 14 of 21 passes for 185 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He added 137 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
