The 6th ranked Oregon Ducks travel south to face Pac-12 rival Arizona State. Oregon is 9-1 on the year and 7-0 in the Pac-12. Arizona State is 5-5 overall and 2-5 in the conference. Oregon won 31-29 when these two teams played last year. Oregon is a 14.5 point favorite in this one. Kickoff is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

Oregon has all but wrapped up the Pac-12 North Division in a bow. They are 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference and no one else is even close to them. Oregon State, who they play in the final week of the regular season, is second at 4-3 in the conference. The Ducks are playing for that College Football Playoffs, so all games are important. Last week they pounded Arizona 34-6.

The Arizona State Sun Devils are trudging along at 5-5 and 2-5 in the Pac-12. They need to win at least one more game to be bowl eligible and this one is likely a loss as Oregon has been dominant,. That means they'd need to beat Arizona in the regular-season finale. Arizona is 4-6 overall and 2-5 in the conference. The Sun Devils have lost 4 straight.

Oregon takes care of business against Arizona

The Oregon Ducks have all but wrapped up the Pac-12 North Division title. They are 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference and no one else is even close to them. Oregon State, who they play in the final week of the regular season, is second at 4-3 in the conference. The Ducks are currently ranked No. 6 in the country, so they have a chance to play for the College Football Playoffs. However, that means they cannot afford to lose another game, including this one.

Last week they pounded Arizona 34-6. In the win over Arizona, Oregon amassed 471 total yards. Quarterback Justin Herbert was 20 for 28 for 333 yards with 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. Juwan Johnson had 5 catches for 93 yards and 1 touchdown while Johnny Johnson had 4 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. Travis Dye had 71 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Arizona State loses heartbreaker

The Arizona State Sun Devils are having a rough year. They are 5-5 overall and 2-5 in the Pac-12. Worse still, they have lost 4 straight games. But they still have something to play for. They need to win at least one more game to be bowl eligible and this one is likely a loss as Oregon has been dominant. That means they'd need to beat Arizona in the regular-season finale. Arizona is 4-6 overall and 2-5 in the conference.

Last week, they lost a heartbreaker to Oregon State 35-34. Quarterback Jayden Daniels hit Brandon Aiyuk on a 12 yard touchdown pass with 1:45 left to cut the Beavers lead to 35-34. They decided to go for the win instead of the tie by going for 2.The 2-point attempt failed and Oregon State wound up winning by one point. Daniels had a great game, going 24 for 36 for 334 yards and 3 touchdowns. Aiyuk was a beat, catching 10 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown.

Take the Ducks here. Arizona State is in a tough spot here, They have lost 4 of their last 5 games and they face a very good Oregon team. The Ducks have one of the best defenses in the country, allowing only 14 points per game. Arizona State's offense has struggled and this is not a team you want to be playing when your offense is struggling. I see Oregon winning this pretty easily. The Ducks are 8-3-1 against the spread in their last 12 meetings and 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 meetings in Arizona State. This is just too important a game for Oregon to stumble.

Prediction: Oregon -14.5

Take the under here. I really like the under because I don't see the Sun Devils scoring m ore than a couple of touchdowns here. The Ducks, on the other hand, should roll up close to its season average of 37 points per game, as the ASU defense is good, but not great. I see something along the lines of 34-14 here. The under is 5-1 in Sun Devils last 6 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and 5-2 in their last 7 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.  The under is 5-0 in Ducks last 5 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game and 12-4-1 in their last 17 road games.
