Week 13 of college football continues as Temple travels to Nippert Stadium to play against Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:00 P.M. This will be the 22nd meeting between these two teams. These two teams have not met since last season when the Owls beat the Bearcats at home by the score of 24-17.

Temple Looks For Another Road Win

Temple enters this game with a solid 7-3 record as it has won each of its last two games. Last week, Temple managed to upset Tulane at home by the score of 29-21 as its defense forced three crucial turnovers that helped propel the Owls to a much-needed victory. Now, Temple has to travel on the road where it has struggled up to this point so one has to wonder just how well it will play against a ranked team on Saturday night. Temple has split its first four road games of the season with its two wins coming against extremely inferior teams. However, Temple has dominated this series in recent years and it will look for its fifth straight victory against Cincinnati in this game.

Temple's offense is led by junior quarterback Anthony Russo who has been solid this season. He has 2,258 passing yards along with 18 passing touchdowns. However, Russo has also been extremely turnover prone as he has also thrown ten interceptions. He has thrown an interception in three straight games and he will look to snap that streak in this conference road game.

Defensively, Temple has been decent up to this point. The Owls are allowing 25.0 points per game which ranks 49th in the nation. In addition, the Owls are allowing 384.2 yards per game which ranks 60th in the nation. Now, Temple will be looking for another solid defensive performance as it will be looking for this road upset.

Cincinnati Looks To Remain In AP Top 20

Luke Fickell has the Bearcats in amazing form headed into this game. Cincinnati has won nine of its first ten games this season as it has already clinched a spot in the conference title game. In addition, Cincinnati enters this game as one of the hottest teams in the country as it has won each of its last eight games. Cincinnati has won all of the games that it was expected to win this season as it has yet to succumb to pressure in conference play. Now, the Bearcats are ranked inside the AP Top 20 so there is even more pressure on them not to falter for the rest of the season as they have a serious shot at making a New Year's Six Bowl Game. As a result, look for Cincinnati to be extremely focused for this game.

Cincinnati's offense is led by sophomore quarterback Desmond Ridder who has been pretty good this season. He has 1,774 passing yards along with 17 passing touchdowns. In addition, Riddler has also been extremely efficient on the ground as he has 435 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Now, Riddler will look to lead his team to another victory in front of the home fans.

Defensively, Cincinnati has been decent up to this point. The Bearcats are allowing 20.6 points per game which ranks 26th in the nation. In addition, the Bearcats are allowing 370.7 yards per game which ranks 51st in the nation. Now, Cincinnati enters this game with a lot laying on the line as the coaching staff will be looking for another solid defensive outing at home on Saturday night.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Cincinnati is the much better team in this game and I expect it to show on Saturday. Temple has a respectable 7-3 record but it is just 2-2 on the road while Cincinnati is undefeated at home so I think that Temple will come into this game a bit flat. Plus, this is Senior Night for the Bearcats so I expect the crowd to be electric for this game. This game is extremely important for Cincinnati as a victory would clinch it a spot in the conference title game so I think that the Bearcats will win by at least two touchdowns. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Cincinnati -10.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Based on how these two teams have played lately, I have to take the under. Temple has struggled offensively away from home as it has not scored more than 27 points in a single road game this season. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has scored less than 28 points in two of its last three home games so its offense has not been performing that well lately. This total might appear a bit low but I think that it is warranted as the weather for this game is pretty lousy which should hinder any big plays on offense for both teams. Give me the under.

Prediction: Under 46.5

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

This will be a very emotional night for the Bearcats as it will be the last time that the seniors on the roster will get to play at home in their college careers and I think that the Bearcats will come out in the first half with a lot of energy as a result. Temple has struggled on the road this season and Cincinnati will most likely take advantage of its elite home-field advantage en route to a cover in the first half. I think that Cincinnati will be up by at least a touchdown at halftime so I will take the home team.

Prediction: Cincinnati 1H
