Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Marshall has won each of its last three and four out of the last 5 and over that stretch the Thundering Herd have held opponents to 13 points or less in four of the five games. Marshall’s strength on defense is against the run, holding opponents to an average of  91.2 points per game and will shut down the strength of Georgia State, which averages 227.9 yards rushing per game. Georgia State will be forced to pass the ball and although Darren Granger is a talented QB, mistakes will be made and give Marshall the advantage. Marshall has covered the spread in four of the last 5. Although Marshall's strength is on defense, quarterback Cam Fancher has played well over the last three games with four touchdowns and just three interceptions while passing for 588 yards, resulting in three victories for the Thundering Herd. Marshall's offense has an above-average running game, averaging 199.9 yards per game and faces a below-average defense for Georgia State against the run, as the Panthers are allowing 160.8 yards per game on the ground.

Prediction: Marshall Thundering Herd -5.5

Full-Game Total Pick
