Wyoming Cowboys vs. Boise State Broncos

Where: Albertsons Stadium, Boise, ID

When: Saturday, November 9, 10:15 PM. ET.

The Boise State Broncos will be going for their second consecutive win when they take on the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday night.

Cowboys Going For Third Consecutive Win

The Cowboys managed to bounce back from their close loss to San Diego State and have won their last two contests. They are one game behind the Broncos in the Mountain West standings and will try to move into sole possession of the top spot in the division standings with a win over the Broncos on Saturday.

Wyoming has been brilliant on the defensive end for most of the season, holding opponents to 17.6 points per game. They managed to hold Nevada to three points in their last game and will need a similar performance to slow down the Broncos, who are averaging over 30 points per game.

Offensively, the Cowboys are averaging 28.9 points per game, which is 69th in the country. They have a bruising ground game that is averaging 239.4 yards per game, but they will have a hard time running against the Broncos, who are giving up 116.3 rushing yards per game.

Xazavian Valladay leads the Cowboys with 631 rushing yards and four touchdowns, while quarterback Sean Chambers has 567 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

Broncos Going For Eighth Win In Nine Games

The Broncos have also played well this season and have won seven of their last eight games. The team bounced back from its loss to BYU with a win over San Jose State in its last game and will be trying to make it two wins in a row with a win over the Cowboys on Saturday, which will also give the broncos their third consecutive win over the Cowboys.

Boise State is a good defensive team, holding opponents to 23.4 points per game. The Broncos defense has played well against the run, which is something they will have to do again on Saturday if they want to get past the Cowboys.

Offensively, the Broncos have a balanced attack with the team averaging 291 passing yards per game and 178.3 rushing yards per game. They will be able to mix things up and keep Wyoming’s defense on its toes, especially if they cannot slow down their passing game.

Freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier has rewarded his head coach’s faith in him by playing well this season. He has completed 63.2 percent of his passes for 1,760 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. The team will need another big game from him to get past the Cowboys on Saturday.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

The Cowboys have played well this season, thanks to one of the best ground games in the country. However, the Broncos are the betting pick here because the Cowboys will have a hard time running the ball against Boise State’s defense, which is holding opponents to 116.3 rushing yards per game. The Cowboys will also struggle to move the ball through the air because they 124.9 passing yards per game, which is 125th in the country. On the flip side, the Broncos also have a good ground game, but they too will have a hard time moving the ball on the ground because Wyoming gives up 98.4 rushing yards per game. However, they will be able to throw on the Cowboys because they average 291 passing yards per game and the Cowboys have trouble stopping the pass, giving up 288.8 passing yards per game. With the Broncos being able to move the ball against Wyoming’s defense, they will be able to pick up their third consecutive win over the Cowboys and cover the spread.

Prediction: Boise State Broncos -13

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

The Broncos are averaging 37.4 points per game. Even though the Cowboys have a very good defense that is holding opponents to 17.6 points per game, the Broncos will score close to 30 points on them because they won’t be able to stop their passing game. The Cowboys are averaging 28.9 points per game, but they will stay under their season average against the Broncos because their offense will struggle to move the ball. However, they will be able to score at least 25 points against the Broncos, who gave up 42 points to San Jose State in their last game, which will be enough to take the score over the total.

Prediction: Over 48

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

The Cowboys will cover the first-half spread in this game because they have played well in the first half of their last three games and their stingy defense will help them keep the score close on Saturday night. The Cowboys are averaging 15 points per game in the first half of their last three games while the Broncos are averaging 19.3 points per game.

Prediction: Wyoming Cowboys +7

Half-Time Total Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

The Cowboys and Broncos are averaging 34.3 combined points per game in the first half of their last three games and will go over the first half total in this game if they maintain their current scoring pace.

Prediction: Over 24
