The Charles Southern Buccaneers will host the Robert Morris Colonials on Saturday. Both teams are members of the Big South Conference.

According to the College Sports Journal, Charleston Southern was slated to finish third, and Robert Morris was picked to finish fourth amongst the five teams in the conference.

Robert Morris blown out by Kennesaw State

Robert Morris went 7-5 last season and 6-1 as a Northeastern Conference member. This season, the Colonials have only played two games. They lost back on February 27 to James Madison Dukes 36-16. James Madison is currently a team amongst the favorites to win the FCS title this season. After a long layoff, the Colonials retook the field last Saturday and lost to Kennesaw State 35-0.

Robert Morris was completely dominated by Kennesaw, being outgained 377 to 162 in total yardage. The Colonials rushed for 111 yards as a team, but quarterback George Marin only completed 8 of 19 passes for 51 yards. In the season opener against James Madison, Robert Morris was outgained 394 to 187 in total yardage, andMartin threw for 165 yards on 15 of 30 passes with a touchdown and no picks in the loss. James Madison also held the Colonials to 22 rushing yards on 31 carries. Last season Martin, a 6'4 junior, completed 51.8% of his passes for 1,348 yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions for Robert Morris.

Charleston Southern winless against tough competition

Charleston Southern went 6-6 last season and 4-2 in the Big South. The Buccaneers are winless through two games this season, with a 24-19 loss to Kennesaw State on March 13 and a 35-17 loss against Monmouth on March 27.

The Charles Southern Buccaneers have averaged 250.5 passing but just 56 rushing yards per game through the first two contests. Leading the way is redshirt junior quarterback Jack Chambers who has thrown for 501 yards while completing 63.4% of his passes with three touchdowns and interceptions. Defensively Charleston Southern has allowed 199.5 rushing yards per game and 202.5 passing yards.

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Both teams are winless this season but have also faced difficult opponents on the road in each of those games. Up to this point, Charleston Southern has been more competitive in each of their losses, which were against the two best teams in the conference. Playing their first home game of the season, expect the Buccaneers to take advantage of the less talented Colonials and cover the spread.

Prediction: Charleston Southern -6.5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Neither team has had an offense breakout yet this season, but they have also faced strong defenses. With two games now under their belts, I expect both offenses to begin clicking on Saturday. The rushing games have been weak on both sides, so expect to see plenty of passing attempts in this game. With the total set so low, I am taking the over.

Prediction: Over 45
