The 19th ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will be going for their second consecutive win when they face the Georgia State Panthers on Saturday afternoon.

Ragin’ Cajuns Going for Second Consecutive Win

The Ragin’ Cajuns got their season off to a great start with a road win over Iowa State, which helped them get into the top 25 for the first time since 1943. They will try to build on the success and pick up another win when they face the Panthers on Saturday.

Louisiana played well offensively in its first game, scoring 31 points in the win. They finished with 272 total yards and forced two turnovers in the win.

Levi Lewis completed 13 of 21 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown. Trey Ragas ran for 49 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries, while Peter LeBlanc had five receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Louisiana also looked good on the defensive end, giving up 14 points in their last game. They will need another good defensive effort if they want to get the win.

Panthers Trying To Snap Losing Streak

The Panthers played well last season and made a bowl game for the second time in three years. Despite their success, they ended the season on a two-game losing streak and will try to kick off the new season with a win over a ranked opponent.

Georgia State played well offensively last season, averaging 31.2 points per game. Their offense will look a little different this season with the team losing their starting quarterback and top-two rushers from last season.

Despite their losses, they are confident that their freshman quarterback and Destin Coates, who was their third-leading rusher last season, can pick up the slack on the offensive end.

Defensively, the Panthers were one of the worst teams in the country, giving up 36.1 points per game. They should be improved this season with their returning starters having more experience, and will need to play better than they did last season if they want to win this game.

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

The Ragin’ Cajuns will win this game comfortably. The Panthers were a great rushing team last season, averaging 241.6 rushing yards per game. However, they lost their top two leading rushers, who accounted for over 2,000 yards last season and will have a hard time running against the Ragin’ Cajuns, who gave up 158 rushing yards in their win over Iowa State. The Panthers also weren’t good defensively, giving up 36.1 points per game. Even though the unit will be better this season with the young players having more experience, they won’t be able to slow down the Ragin’ Cajuns, who scored 31 points in their season-opener.

Prediction: Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns -15

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

The Panthers should be better on the defensive end this season after giving up 36.1 points per game last season. However, they will have a hard time slowing down a Ragin’ Cajuns team that dropped 31 points on the road against a good Iowa State team. The Panthers will also struggle on the offensive end with a redshirt freshman quarterback and a backfield that isn’t as deep as it was last season. With the Ragin’ Cajuns holding Iowa State to 14 points, expect them to keep the Panthers under 10 points, which will keep them under the game total.

Prediction: Under 57

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

The Ragin’ Cajuns will win the first half of this game because they are the better team in this matchup. Both teams averaged 17.2 points per game in the first half of their games last season, but Louisiana was the better team on the defensive end, holding opponents to 11.3 points per game, while the Panthers gave up 19.6 points per game.

Prediction: Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns

Half-Time Total Bet

Insiders Status:

The first half of this game is going to be one-sided with the Ragin’ Cajuns likely to jump out to a big lead over the Panthers. They managed 10 points in the first half of their game against Iowa State but will score more in the first half of this game. However, the Panthers won’t score enough points to push the score over the total.

Prediction: Under
