Ohio Looks To Stay Atop MAC East Standings
Ohio has been a bit underwhelming at this point in time. Specifically, the Bobcats still have a losing record through seven games. However, despite the poor overall record, Ohio still has a 2-1 conference record which is good enough to have it in a three-way tie for in first place in MAC East Division. However, Ohio has yet to win consecutive games at any point this season and it will have another shot at changing that with a victory on Saturday. Unfortunately, this game will be on the road where Ohio has a 1-2 record.
Leading the Bobcats offensively will be senior quarterback Nathan Rourke who has been great so far this season. Specifically, he has 1,612 passing yards along with ten passing touchdowns. In addition, he also leads the team with 409 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns so he is a huge threat in multiple ways. Look for Rourke to showcase his dual-threat ability once again on Saturday.
Ohio's biggest threat on defense is junior cornerback Marlin Brooks
who has been pretty good through the first seven games of the season. Specifically, he has one interception which is tied for the most on the team. In addition, he also has 22 solo tackles. Ohio's defense has been pretty underwhelming as a whole as it has given up 30.7 points per game so perhaps Brooks can create a spark in this game for the defense.
