Chippewas Trying To End Season On High-Note

The Chippewas had an impressive regular season, bouncing back from a one-win season last year and winning eight games this season, which allowed them to compete for the MAC title. Even though they fell short of winning the conference title, they surpassed expectations this season and will try to end the season on a high note with their ninth win of the year. https://twitter.com/i/status/1203388631316127749 Central Michigan will also be trying to snap a four-bowl losing streak in what will be their first bowl game since 2017. The Chippewas had one of the best offenses in the country this season, averaging 34.6 points per game. The team had a balanced attack, throwing for 258.9 yards and rushing for 186.7 yards per game, which were both ranked 40th in the country. Quinten Dormady led the Chippewas with 2,148 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Jonathan Ward rushed for 1,082 yards and 15 touchdowns, while Kalil Pimpleton had 79 receptions for 823 yards and six touchdowns. The Chippewas didn’t play well defensively, giving up 26.8 points per game. They did a good job in the first half, holding Miami (OH) to 10 points, but they couldn’t hold on to their lead in the second half after giving up 16 points. They will need to do a better job when they face the Aztecs. JaCorey Sullivan, who was the team’s second-leading receiver is listed as questionable for this game, as is defensive back Darius Bracy, who has an undisclosed injury.
