Green Bay is banged up
Green Bay is the seven-seed in the NFC after losing two straight divisional games to end the regular season. Aside from momentum, the Packers also lost WR Christian Watson (29 receptions for 620 yards and two TDs) to a season-ending torn ACL last week, and QB Jordan Love banged up in his elbow in the loss. While the latter practiced this week, he was sore and in pain throwing the football. Backup QB Malik Willis also injured the thumb on his throwing hand during the season finale.
Love led the Green Bay passing attack with 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He completed 63.1 percent of his attempts, averaging 8.0 yards per pass. Love's top receiving targets are WR Jayden Reed (55 receptions for 857 yards and six TDs) and TE Tucker Kraft (50 receptions for 707 yards and seven TDs). The Packers' ground game features veteran RB Josh Jacobs (301 carries for 1,329 yards and 15 TDs).
Green Bay averaged 27.1 points (8th) and 370.8 total yards (5th) during the regular season, including 223.9 passing yards (12th) and 146.8 rushing yards (5th). The Packers' defense allowed 19.9 points (6th) and 314.5 total yards (5th) per game, including 215.2 passing yards (13th) and 99.4 rushing yards (7th).
Green Bay Packers Injury Report: QB Jordan Love (elbow), S Javon Bullard (ankle), WR Romeo Doubs (illness), DL Brenton Cox Jr. (foot), LB Quay Walker (ankle), S Evan Phillips (quad) and QB Malik Willis (thumb) are questionable to play on Sunday vs. Philadelphia.

Eagles are also less than 100 percent
Philadelphia also enters this Wild Card round matchup with injury concerns. QB Jalen Hurts has been sidelined for two weeks with a concussion but returned to practice this week. Should he still be hindered, the Eagles may err on the side of caution and run the football less with their mobile QB. Could that also affect Philly's infamous "Tush Push" play? Only time will tell.
Hurts paces Philadelphia through the air with 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five picks. He completed 68.7 percent of his attempts, averaging 8.0 yards per pass. Hurts also rushed for 630 yards and 14 TDs. His top receiving targets are WR A.J. Brown (67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven TDs) and WR DeVonta Smith (68 receptions for 833 yards and eight scores). The Eagles' rushing attack is led by the NFL's leading rusher Saquon Barkley (345 carries for 2,005 yards and 13 TDs).
Philadelphia averaged 27.2 points (7th) and 367.2 total yards (8th) this season, including 187.9 passing yards (29th) and 179.3 rushing yards (2nd). The Eagles' defense surrendered 17.8 points (2nd) and 278.4 total yards (1st) per game, including 174.2 passing yards (1st) and 104.2 rushing yards (10th).
Philadelphia Eagles Injury Report: QB Jalen Hurts (concussion) is probable. WR A.J. Brown (knee), WR DeVonta Smith (ankle), LB Nakobe Dean (abdominal), OG Landon Dickerson (knee) and QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) are questionable to play Sunday vs. Green Bay.

Insiders Status:
Packers vs. Eagles expert prediction: The total will be under 46 points in Sunday's NFC Wild Card playoff game.
I expect these teams to lean on their run games with Barkley (5.8 YPC) and Jacobs (4.4 YPC) toting the rock early and often. The Eagles rank first in rush play rate (55.8%) and the Packers rank third (51.2%). That should drain the game clock and keep both injured QBs relatively safe. Injuries are affecting both receiving groups, as well. I'm also bullish on these defenses, as both units have made great strides since the Week 1 matchup in Brazil. Philadelphia led the NFL in EPA/play from Week 10 and Green Bay ranked 4th; plus the Eagles allowed the fewest points per game and the Packers gave up the sixth-fewest.
I recommend a bet on the under in a cold-weather playoff game featuring injured QBs.
