The Las Vegas Raiders (3-7, 4-6 ATS, 5-5 O/U) battle the Seattle Seahawks (6-4, 6-4 ATS, 5-5 O/U) in an AFC clash on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders defeated the Broncos in their previous action. The Seahawks lost to the Buccaneers two weeks ago before their bye last week. These foes last met in the 2018 season in a game Seattle won 27-3.
Raiders End Slide in Win vs. Broncos
The Las Vegas Raiders enter this AFC road bout with confidence. They finally snapped a rough three-game losing streak with a 22-16 overtime road win against the Broncos last week in a clash that had Vegas as a 2.5-point dog. The Raiders are having a disappointing season due mainly to poor defensive performance. They also beat the Broncos in their first win while the other victory occurred against the last-place Texans. The Raiders have covered the spread in two of four road games.
Derek Carr has been productive in his last few games. The veteran QB has recorded at least 248 passing yards in three consecutive games and has collected 2434 passing yards accompanied by a 15:5 TD to INT ratio.
Josh Jacobs has surpassed 100 rushing yards four times this season. The 24-year-old RB should resume his success against a poor rush defense in this one. Jacobs has posted 929 rushing yards on 5 yards per rush on the season. Davante Adams continues to dominate. The 29-year-old WR has recorded at least 126 yards in three straight bouts and now has 930 receiving yards on the year. The Las Vegas offense has proven offensive producers but is inconsistent, scoring 20 or fewer points in three out of their last four games.

The Raiders' defense had their best performance of the season in Denver last week. They held the Broncos to only 320 total yards which was a welcome sight after struggling against the Jaguars and Colts in recent losses. The pass defense is especially a weakness, ranking 24th while the rush defense is 20th. Las Vegas is scoring an average of 22.5 points on the season, landing them 15th. They are conceding an average of 24.2 points, positioning them 24th in the NFL.
Seahawks Return from Bye in First Place
The Seattle Seahawks enter this one refreshed after their bye week. Seattle is having a surprising season as no one expected them to be leading the division at this stage of the season. They beat the Chargers and Cardinals in their four-game winning streak which was snapped in a 21-16 loss to the Buccaneers in Munich, Germany before last week’s bye. They were 2.5-point dogs in that loss. Seattle has covered the spread in two out of their last three home games.
Geno Smith is having a spectacular season. The 32-year-old QB has connected on at least 67% of his pass attempts in all but two games and has logged 2474 passing yards accompanied by a 17:4 TD to INT ratio. Kenneth Walker III is having a stellar rookie season. The 22-year-old RB has seen an increase in action since Rashad Penny’s injury. Penny is out for the remainder of the season and Walker III has been productive, amassing 587 rushing yards. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf continue to produce. Lockett has made 13 catches in his last three games, and the 30-year-old now has 640 receiving yards while Metcalf has 581 yards. The Seattle offense has been its top strength. They have registered at least 27 points in three out of their last four games.

The Seahawks' defense has been much better in recent games. They were being exposed in most bouts earlier this season but have limited their foe to 21 or fewer points in three consecutive games. They squandered 419 total yards against the Bucs but held them to 21 points in their previous action. The pass defense is 21st while the rush defense is 28th. Seattle is averaging 25.7 points, landing them fifth in the NFL. They are allowing an average of 24.1 points, placing them 22nd.
Best Bets for this Game
Full-Game Side Bet
The Raiders have not been able to sustain any momentum and have dropped three out of their last four games. Seattle is fresh after enjoying its bye week. They have exceeded expectations all season as they find themselves in first place in the division. The Seahawks are a stellar 3-1 at home and have earned the win in four out of their last five games.
Furthermore, the Raiders' defense is being exposed. The pass defense is pegged 24th in the NFL and I expect Geno Smith to have another big game. The veteran QB has amassed 275 passing yards in back-to-back games against the Cardinals and against a strong Bucs pass defense. Also, the Raiders' offense has been inconsistent and has scored 20 or fewer points in three out of their last four games.
Full-Game Total Pick
I expect a barrage of scoring. The Raiders should contribute to this total led by Derek Carr who has propelled the Raiders to the ninth-ranked passing offense. Seattle will give up plenty of yards. They stand 21st against the pass and 28th in the NFL in total yards allowed.
In addition, the Seahawks offense has fueled their success this season. They have averaged 28 points in their last four games. Smith is consistently producing and RB Kenneth Walker III has been stellar in place in place of the injured Penny. The rookie RB has eclipsed 100 rushing yards in two of his last four games and should excel against a rush defense that ranks 20th. The over is also 7-3 in the Seahawks' last 10 games against a team with a losing record.
