This Sunday, there will be a football matchup between two NFC teams as the Atlanta Falcons travel to AT&T Stadium to take on the Dallas Cowboys. This game will be taking place at 1:00 P.M. EST and it will be the second game of the season for both teams.

Falcons Look For A Massive Improvement Defensively

The Atlanta Falcons entered this season following a disappointing 2019 campaign in which they finished with a losing record. As a result, Atlanta was hoping that last season was just a fluke and that it would be able to make it back into the NFL Playoffs in 2020. However, the Falcons looked just as bad as they did for the bulk of 2019 in week one as they lost by 13 points at home to the Seahawks. The main reason for that loss was Atlanta's defense which allowed a whopping 38 points. Now, the Falcons will be looking for a much better outing from their defense with their first road game of the season up next.

Leading the Falcons offensively is quarterback Matt Ryan who was fantastic in week one as he had a league-high 450 passing yards and two touchdowns. While most of his numbers came in garbage time, Ryan still showed flashes of brilliance and he will be looking to continue playing well for the second straight week.

Atlanta's defense will be led by defensive tackle Grady Jarrett who was solid last week as he recorded two solo tackles along with a team-high 1.5 sacks. However, nobody else on the defense looked anywhere close to as good as Jarrett did last Sunday so his solid performance was not good enough to impact the outcome.

Cowboys Look To Get Their First Win Of 2020

The Dallas Cowboys entered this season with the hopes of winning their first division title since 2018. After making some coaching changes during the offseason, Dallas had a lot of expectations in the NFC East as it was projected to win the division. However, the Cowboys started the season out by losing on the road to the Rams by three points on the road. Now, Dallas will be looking to get its first win of the season at home in week two. Luckily, the Cowboys managed to win five of their eight home games last season so they have fared well at AT&T Stadium in the past.

Leading the Cowboys offensively is quarterback Dak Prescott who was solid in week one as he had 266 passing yards and one passing touchdown along with zero turnovers. In addition, Prescott had 30 rushing yards as he showcased his elite mobility against Los Angeles' above average defensive line. Now, he will be looking for another solid performance at home on Sunday.

Dallas' defense will be led by linebacker Jaylon Smith who was great in week one as he recorded five solo tackles along with one pass defended. Now, Smith's role will get even large in the immediate future as the Cowboys are extremely thin at the linebacker position due to various injuries so one can expect him to remain on the field for virtually every defensive snap.

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Both teams lost in week one but the Cowboys looked like the significantly better team as they were in a position to win their game while the Falcons got embarrassed so I think that there is a serious talent mismatch in this game. Dallas has been a much better home team in recent years and Atlanta gave up 38 points at home in week one so I think that the Falcons should give up at least 30 points in this game which bodes well for the opposition. I expect Dallas to score around 31 points which should be enough to get the job done. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys -5

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Both teams struggled a lot defensively in week one so I think that they should continue struggling to stop the opposing offenses in week two. Atlanta allowed 38 points and 383 total yards while Dallas allowed 20 points and 422 total yards so I can see both offenses sustaining long drives in this game. Plus, both teams have a ton of offensive playmakers so I can see a lot of big plays leading to a lot of scoring opportunities. This game should finish somewhere in the realm of 31-24 so I think that there is some value on the over in this spot.

Prediction: Over 52

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

After losing in a controversial fashion in week one on the road, I expect the Cowboys to be extremely motivated for its home opener in the first half. Dallas looked significantly better defensively than Atlanta in week one and I think that the Falcons might have one of the worst defenses in all of football which makes me believe that the Cowboys should be able to enter the halftime break with at least a four-point lead. I expect Dallas to score at least 17 points which should be enough to get the job done. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 1H -3
