This Tuesday, there is a matchup between two Western Conference teams as the Vancouver Canucks and the Winnipeg Jets will face off at about 8:00 PM. This will be the second meeting between these teams this season and it will take place at the Bell MTS Place.

Vancouver Looks To Extend Winning Streak

So far this season, the Vancouver Canucks have looked like a pretty good in the Western Conference. The Canucks have won 25 of their first 46 games up to this point which is why they are currently in a tie with the Golden Knights for possession of third place in the Pacific Division. In addition, Vancouver is only one point behind Arizona and Calgary for first place so this game is extremely important. Luckily, Vancouver enters this game in great form as it has won each of its last two games with both victories coming away from home so it should be very focused on extending that winning streak on Tuesday.

Leading the Canucks offensively is center Elias Pettersson who has looked great so far this season as he already has 21 goals and 27 assists through the first 46 games of the regular season. In addition, he has a Plus/Minus Rating of +6 so the Canucks have fared very well whenever he has been on the ice.

The starting goalie for the Canucks in this game will be Jacob Markstrom who has solid so far this season. He has a 17-12-3 record with a 2.79 GAA and a .915 save percentage. Last season, Markstrom had an 0-0-2 record with 3.06 GAA and a .917 save percentage against the Canucks so he will be looking for better results on Tuesday.

Full-Game Total Pick

The Vancouver Canucks have been playing really well offensively lately so I think that this total is a bit too low. The Canucks have scored at least four goals in each of their last two games so I think that they should be able to continue scoring goals at will on Tuesday. In addition, three of Vancouver's last four games have totaled at least seven goals while two of Winnipeg's last three games have totaled at least seven goals so I think that there is some value with the over in this spot. Give me the over as a result.

Prediction: Over 6.5

Half-Time Side Pick

Even though this game is in Winnipeg, the Jets have been playing terrible hockey at home lately so I think that there is some value with the Canucks in this spot. Vancouver has won each of its last two road games and I like the current form of this team entering Tuesday's game. The Canucks have the ability to score a ton of goals so I think that they should be able to score at least one goal within the first 20 minutes of this game which should be enough to at least guarantee a push. As a result, I have to side with the road team.
