This Saturday, there is a matchup between two Western Conference teams in the NHL as the Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators will face off at about 6:30 PM. This will be the first meeting between these teams this season and it will take place at the Bridgestone Arena.

Dallas Stars Play For The Second Straight Night

So far this season, the Dallas Stars have looked like a decent team in the Western Conference. The Stars currently have an 18-11-4 record which gives them a total of 40 points. As a result, the Stars are currently in a tie for third place in the Central Division but they are still in possession of a Wild Card spot. However, the Stars did suffer a tough overtime lose against the Golden Knights yesterday so they will be looking for a bounce back win. To make matters worse, Dallas will be playing its second game within 24 hours so getting this road victory should be extremely difficult.

Leading the Stars offensively is center Tyler Seguin who has been a bit underwhelming this season as he has 24 points through Dallas' first 33 games. In addition, Seguin also recorded an assist yesterday so he will be looking to add to his point total with another solid performance on Saturday.

The starting goalie for the Stars in this game will be Anton Khudobin who has looked pretty good so far this season. He has a 6-5-1 record with a 2.39 GAA and a .922 save percentage. This season, Khudobin had a 2-1-1 record along with a 2.01 GAA and a .949 save percentage against the Stars so he will look for another win against them on Saturday.

Nashville Looks To Move Up In The Standings

So far this season, the Nashville Predators have been a very underwhelming hockey team. The Predators were expected to easily make it back into the Stanley Cup Playoffs but they are currently in sixth place in the Central Division. The Predators are currently 14-11-5 as they enter this game well out of the playoff picture. However, Nashville has won two of its last three games so perhaps it has turned a corner. Luckily for the Predators, this game is at home where they have played well up to this point. Nashville has a 9-5-4 record at home and it will be looking for another home victory on Saturday.

Leading the Predators offensively will be defenseman Roman Josi who has looked like one of the best defensemen in the league so far this season. Josi already has a team-high 26 points in 30 games. In addition, he has a Plus/Minus Rating of +11 so Nashville has fared really well whenever he is on the ice.

The starting goalie for the Predators in this game will be Pekka Rinne who has been solid this season. So far this season, he has a 10-4-3 record along with a 2.92 GAA and a .897 save percentage. Last season, Rinne had a 1-2-0 record with a 2.77 GAA and a .916 save percentage against the Stars.

Best Bets for this Game

Full-Game Side Bet

Insiders Status:

Dallas has been an awful road team all season long and I expect the Stars to continue struggling on the road in this game. This is a brutal spot for the Stars as they had to play last night so I think that they will run out of gas on the second night of a back-to-back. Plus, Dallas will be using its backup goalie while Nashville will be using its starting goalie so I think that there is a serious advantage in net. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Nashville

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Dallas has been an elite defensive team this season and I expect it to continue playing solid defense in this road game. At the same time, Dallas also played last night so I think that it will look really tired as this game progresses which should lead to less scoring chances against an underrated Nashville defense at home. This game should end somewhere in the realm of 3-2 so I will take the under.

Prediction: Under

Half-Time Side Pick

Insiders Status:

Nashville has been a pretty good home team this season and I expect it to play well in this home game for at least the first 20 minutes. Dallas should come out a bit flat and tired after having to play last night and I think that the more rested team will perform well for the first period of this game. Plus, Dallas has been underwhelming on the road as it is so I expect its road struggles to continue on Saturday. Give me the home team.

Prediction: Nashville 1P
