Sam Reinhart opened the scoring with his 38th goal of the year, on the power play, at 2:22 with assists going to Sam Bennett and Evan Rodrigues. They gave up the equalizer later in the period. Insiders Status:

Rating:

Florida closes the second game of a back-to-back and plays their third game in four nights here. The Panthers are likely stuck as the road team in the opening round of the playoffs so you have to wonder if they rest some players here in their regular season finale. Tampa Bay needs two wins and Toronto to lose twice in regulation to even tie for the top spot in the Atlantic so you know they’ll be going all out in their home finale here. The Lightning has stumbled down the stretch but look for them to find a way to prevail here as they get a victory over their likely first-round foe.

Prediction: Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 (+150)

Full-Game Total Pick

Insiders Status:

Rating:

Florida has stayed under the number in eight of their last 10 games, averaging only 2.2 goals per game in that stretch. The Panthers have scored two goals or less six times in that span. Florida averages only 2.98 goals per game on the road this season. Tampa Bay has averaged 4.4 goals per game in their last 10 games while allowing an average of 2.3 goals per contest in that stretch but they have given up four goals in each of their last three games. The Lightning averages a hefty 3.88 goals per game at home while allowing 2.21 per contest. With Florida struggling to light the lamp, take the under in this contest.

Prediction: Under 5.5
