Cris Cyborg Has Another Boxing Fight Booked for 2026
Cris Cyborg already has another boxing fight booked for later in 2026, giving the combat sports legend another major assignment beyond Saturday night's PFL Tampa main event.
Cyborg revealed ahead of her fight with Ketlen Vieira that another boxing appearance is already scheduled for later this year.
The opponent, date and location have not yet been publicly announced.
That leaves one major question surrounding Cyborg's post-PFL plans: who will stand across the ring from her next?

Claressa Shields remains the biggest name Cyborg has publicly pursued, while another possible crossover matchup involving two-time Olympic taekwondo champion Jade Jones has also entered the discussion.
Cris Cyborg Has Another Boxing Fight Booked
Cyborg told Sherdog in July that she already had another boxing bout booked after her PFL Tampa appearance.
That is more concrete than simply saying she hopes to box again.
There is another fight planned.
What remains unknown is the opponent.
Cyborg had previously discussed 2026 as the closing stage of her combat sports career, although she has become less definitive about retirement in recent interviews.
Her immediate future nonetheless appears to include boxing.
That makes Saturday's PFL appearance an important transition point. Cyborg can finish her current PFL commitment and then return to a sport in which she has continued building momentum over the last several years.
Cyborg Won a WIBA Boxing Title in March
Cyborg enters her next boxing appearance as the WIBA super-welterweight champion.
She captured the title against Paulina Cardona in Brazil on March 28 after Cardona failed to continue following the second round.
The victory kept Cyborg unbeaten as a professional boxer and added another championship to a résumé already filled with MMA titles.
Cyborg has previously held championships with the UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, Invicta FC and PFL.
Her move into boxing has therefore become more than a collection of crossover appearances.
She now has a recognized boxing title and another fight already scheduled.
Cyborg Says Claressa Shields Received a $2 Million Offer
Claressa Shields remains the most commercially significant possible opponent.
Cyborg has publicly said that a $2 million offer was made for Shields to face her in boxing.
The fight has not been agreed.
Cyborg has accused Shields of avoiding the matchup, but that remains Cyborg's characterization of the negotiations rather than confirmation that a finalized contract was formally rejected.
Shields has other plans under consideration.
The undefeated American recently returned to middleweight and stopped Kaye Scott, and she has continued expressing interest in a major fight with unbeaten Welsh champion Lauren Price.
That matchup may not happen until 2027, which potentially leaves room on Shields' schedule, but there is currently no confirmed Cyborg-Shields fight.
For Cyborg, the attraction is obvious.
Shields is one of the most accomplished fighters in women's boxing and would give Cyborg by far the biggest pure-boxing test of her career.
Why Cris Cyborg vs. Claressa Shields Would Be Different
A Shields fight would be unlike Cyborg's previous professional boxing appearances.
Shields is unbeaten as a professional and has won major championships across several weight divisions.
Cyborg would bring significantly more crossover combat-sports recognition than a conventional challenger, along with the power and physicality that made her one of the defining fighters of women's MMA.
The two have also trained together previously, giving the matchup a personal history beyond the usual crossover promotion.
None of that means the fight is close to being finalized.
It does explain why Cyborg continues bringing Shields' name into the conversation as she plans the boxing portion of her career.
Jade Jones Has Also Been Mentioned as a Possible Opponent
Another possible Cyborg matchup surfaced this week through Misfits Boxing.
Misfits executive Mams Taylor said he could envision Cyborg facing two-time Olympic taekwondo gold medalist Jade Jones in early 2027.
That fight is only an idea at this stage.
Jones first has another assignment of her own and is scheduled to face Sheena Bathory for a Misfits championship in September.
Taylor's comments nevertheless show the range of options potentially available to Cyborg.
A Shields fight would represent a move deeper into traditional elite boxing.
A matchup with Jones would fit much more naturally into the growing crossover-boxing market.
Cyborg's name gives her access to both lanes.
No Cyborg Boxing Odds on Polymarket or Kalshi Yet
There is not currently a live prediction-market contract tied to Cyborg's next boxing opponent.
Polymarket's Cris Cyborg page currently lists no active markets, and its boxing section does not currently include a Cyborg matchup.
A current Cyborg boxing market also does not appear to be available on Kalshi.
That could change once her opponent and fight date are formally announced.
A confirmed Cyborg-Shields fight in particular would create an obvious live-odds market, while even another opponent could generate fight-winner and other event contracts once the bout becomes official.
For now, there is nothing credible to attach a Cyborg boxing probability to.
What's Next for Cris Cyborg?
The clearest part of Cyborg's future is that another boxing fight is already on the calendar.
The public does not yet know against whom.
Shields remains the biggest target Cyborg has discussed, but there is no agreement in place. Jones has emerged as another possible future opponent, although that idea is even earlier in development.
The next announcement should provide the answer.
Cyborg already owns a WIBA title, remains unbeaten in professional boxing and has confirmed that another bout is booked for 2026.
After PFL Tampa, the attention can shift from whether Cyborg will box again to who she will fight next.
