Angels vs Guardians prediction

Jo Adell trade value has climbed ahead of Monday’s MLB Trade Deadline, with Kalshi traders now giving the Los Angeles Angels outfielder a 66% chance of being dealt.

The prediction-market probability is up five points as contenders search a thin market for right-handed outfield power. Eligible new users can enter Kalshi promo code WINNERS, trade at least $25 on qualifying prediction markets and receive up to $500 in bonus credit.

Jo Adell Trade Value Climbs to 66% on Kalshi

Kalshi’s MLB player-trade market currently gives Adell a 66% chance of changing teams before the deadline.

  • Jo Adell is traded: Approximately 66%
  • Adell remains with the Angels: Approximately 34%
  • Recent market movement: Up five percentage points
  • Team control: Through the 2027 season
  • MLB Trade Deadline: Monday, August 3 at 6 p.m. ET

The market makes a trade the favored outcome, but Adell is not an expiring contract the Angels must move immediately. Los Angeles can retain him for another season or wait until the offseason if no contender meets its asking price.

The five-point increase suggests traders believe the current market is moving toward a deal. Adell’s right-handed power, additional year of control and the lack of comparable available hitters all give the Angels leverage during the final hours.

Jo Adell Trade Value Rises Despite Uneven 2026 Season

Adell’s current numbers do not match his 2025 breakout, but rival clubs have reasons to believe his bat remains more dangerous than his surface statistics suggest.

The 27-year-old hit 37 home runs with 98 RBIs and a .778 OPS last season. His power production has declined in 2026, and MLB.com recently placed him below league average with an 89 wRC+.

Adell’s underlying ability remains intriguing. He possesses one of baseball’s quickest bats and produced a 17.3% barrel rate during his 2025 breakout, ranking in the 96th percentile. His .549 expected slugging percentage ranked in the 97th percentile.

Those traits make him a classic change-of-scenery candidate. A contender would not be acquiring Adell solely for what he has produced this season. It would be betting that his bat speed and raw power can reappear during the stretch run.

Adell also provided a timely reminder of that upside in July when he homered and reached base three times in a win over St. Louis. The performance came as his name continued to surface in deadline discussions and helped reinforce his potential value to a buyer.

Jo Adell Trade Value Benefits From Thin Outfield Market

The shortage of available right-handed hitters may be more important than Adell’s overall stat line.

Several contenders need outfield offense, but many of the best-known possible targets are left-handed, unlikely to move or attached to expensive contracts. That creates a clearer lane for an affordable right-handed hitter with proven home-run upside.

Adell can also help beyond the current season. He is eligible for free agency after 2027, so an acquiring club would control him for one additional year instead of treating him as a two-month rental.

That extra season could increase the Angels’ return. Los Angeles does not need to accept a marginal prospect package, particularly when another team would be acquiring a player who could remain in its lineup next year.

The Angels must decide whether Adell’s value is more likely to increase or decline between now and the offseason. A strong market of desperate buyers could make Monday the ideal time to move him.

Jo Adell Trade Value Makes Phillies a Leading Fit

The Philadelphia Phillies have been repeatedly connected to the market for a right-handed-hitting outfielder, and MLB.com included Adell among the possible targets who fit that need.

Philadelphia needs more balance in its lineup and could use another hitter capable of changing a game with one swing. Adell would provide that power without forcing the Phillies to take on a lengthy contract.

Citizens Bank Park could also help unlock more of his offensive potential. Adell would move from Angel Stadium to a more favorable environment for right-handed power while joining a club expecting to play meaningful games in October.

The acquisition cost remains the central question. Philadelphia has other pitching and bullpen needs, and its farm system is not considered especially deep. The Phillies must decide how much prospect capital to spend on a hitter who remains inconsistent.

The Angels may prefer a deal built around young position-player talent. Los Angeles has controllable pitching but needs more long-term offensive depth throughout the organization.

Jo Adell Trade Value Could Appeal to Other Contenders

Philadelphia is not the only logical destination.

The Cleveland Guardians could use additional right-handed power and may be able to deploy Adell primarily against left-handed pitching. A more specialized role could emphasize his strengths while reducing his exposure to difficult right-handed matchups.

The Milwaukee Brewers are another possible fit. Milwaukee has searched for offensive upgrades and could use an outfielder capable of supplying immediate home-run power.

Other clubs may enter the market after missing their preferred targets. Adell’s probability could rise rapidly if a contender loses an outfielder to injury or if the remaining right-handed bats come off the board early Monday.

His final market may also depend on how teams view his defense. Adell is most comfortable in right field and has struggled when asked to handle more demanding outfield assignments. A club acquiring him primarily for offense may be more willing to accept those limitations.

Jo Adell Trade Value May Still Be Too Low for Angels

Los Angeles has several reasons to keep Adell.

He is still only 27 and remains under control through next season. If the Angels believe his 2025 power will return, trading him during a down year could mean selling at the lowest point of his value.

The organization has also been reluctant to begin a complete teardown. Earlier reporting indicated that owner Arte Moreno did not want to trade Adell or controllable starters José Soriano and Reid Detmers.

Interim baseball operations chief John Mozeliak must determine whether the current offers are strong enough to justify changing that approach. Moving Adell would signal that the Angels are willing to consider more than trades involving veterans approaching free agency.

The club could instead retain him, allow him to finish the season and revisit the market during the winter. An offseason deal would provide more possible trade partners, but it would also eliminate the urgency that currently exists among deadline buyers.

Jo Adell Trade Market Rules on Kalshi

Kalshi’s contract is based on whether Adell is officially traded within the qualifying period established by the market’s rules.

A displayed probability of 66% reflects the current price created by market participants buying and selling Yes and No contracts. It is not an independent projection issued by Kalshi.

A correct contract ultimately settles at $1, while an incorrect contract settles at zero. Traders may also be able to sell a position before settlement at the price available in the market.

The percentage can change throughout deadline day as reports emerge, teams complete other moves and buyers adjust their remaining needs.

Users should read the full resolution criteria before opening a position. The timing of an announcement, official processing or league approval could affect whether a transaction qualifies.

Final Thoughts on Jo Adell Trade Value

Jo Adell trade value is being driven by more than his uneven 2026 production. Right-handed power is difficult to find, Adell remains under control through next season and his 2025 breakout showed what his bat can produce when everything clicks.

Those factors explain why Kalshi traders have moved his probability to 66%. Philadelphia appears to be the cleanest fit, but Cleveland, Milwaukee and other contenders could become involved if their preferred offensive targets disappear.

The Angels still have enough contractual control to reject an underwhelming offer. A trade will likely require a buyer to pay for Adell’s remaining upside rather than treating him as a struggling rental.

Refresh the live Kalshi probability, confirm that Adell remains with Los Angeles and review the contract’s resolution rules immediately before publishing or opening a position.
