These plays attack three different situations. New York combines an elite starting-pitcher advantage with a more attractive run-line price than its expensive moneyline. St. Louis gets a struggling Giants club at home with plus money available on a two-run victory. Baltimore is the lone outright underdog, but the Orioles have the better starting-pitcher numbers and a Mets team that has already been eliminated from postseason contention.

New York Yankees -1.5 vs Minnesota Twins
Best Bet: Yankees -1.5 (-103 to -104)
New York is priced around -175 or higher on the moneyline, making the run line the better way to back the Yankees Tuesday night.
The full Yankees vs Twins prediction makes New York -1.5 its Best Bet, and the price remains close to even money.
Max Fried gives the Yankees the clearest pitching advantage among our three selections.
Fried enters with a 2.73 ERA, while Minnesota counters with Bailey Ober at 4.28. That gap matters even more because New York does not need to pay the premium attached to its straight moneyline.
The Yankees clinched a postseason berth Monday with an 8-3 victory over Minnesota, but there is still meaningful work left in the standings. New York remains behind Tampa Bay in the AL East and continues to play for playoff positioning.
That should reduce concern that clinching Monday immediately turns Tuesday into a low-intensity spot.
New York also showed in the opener that it can create separation late. Monday’s game was tight through the middle innings before the Yankees broke it open with a six-run eighth.
The Twins have to find a way to solve Fried while keeping New York from creating another late multi-run inning.
At around -103 to -104, requiring a two-run Yankees win is preferable to paying approximately -175 or worse simply for New York to win the game.

St. Louis Cardinals -1.5 vs San Francisco Giants
Best Bet: Cardinals -1.5 (+125 to +130)
St. Louis is another favorite where the moneyline has become expensive enough to make the run line more attractive.
The Cardinals are around -160 to -170 to win outright, while St. Louis -1.5 remains available at plus money.

Andre Pallante starts for the Cardinals with a 3.45 ERA. San Francisco counters with Blade Tidwell at 4.82.
That is only part of the case.
San Francisco enters Tuesday at 62-89 and has struggled badly away from home. The Giants lost Monday’s series opener 2-1 and have dropped four straight games.
St. Louis is 75-76 and still has an opportunity to finish the season strongly at Busch Stadium.
Monday’s one-run result might make laying -1.5 feel uncomfortable, but Tuesday’s pitching matchup is more favorable to St. Louis, and the price compensates bettors for accepting the additional margin requirement.
The current market has also continued moving toward the Cardinals. St. Louis opened closer to the mid--150s on the moneyline and is now trading around -165 to -170 at several books.
Rather than chase that increasingly expensive moneyline, taking +125 or better on the run line offers the stronger risk-reward profile.
San Francisco needs Tidwell to keep the Cardinals from creating early traffic. If St. Louis gets into the Giants bullpen with a lead, the Cardinals have a reasonable chance to turn a close game into the two-run margin needed for this ticket.

Baltimore Orioles Moneyline vs New York Mets
Best Bet: Orioles ML (+110 to +115)
Baltimore is the only underdog among Tuesday’s three best bets.
The Orioles beat the Mets 2-1 Monday and remain available at plus money for Game 2, despite having the more favorable starting-pitcher numbers.

Baltimore sends Shane Baz to the mound with a 4.05 ERA. New York counters with Sean Manaea at 4.79.
Manaea’s recent form creates additional concern for Mets backers, while Baltimore showed Monday that it can win a tight game at Citi Field.
Gunnar Henderson broke a 1-1 tie with an eighth-inning homer Monday as the Orioles took the opener 2-1.
The postseason context also points in Baltimore’s direction.
The Mets have been eliminated from the wild-card race. Baltimore is still hanging around the edge of the American League postseason picture and entered Tuesday with more reason to treat the remaining schedule as meaningful.
Motivation by itself is never enough to make a wager, but here it reinforces a price that already looks attractive based on the starting matchup and venue results.
Baltimore was available around +118 earlier in the market cycle before money came toward the Orioles. The price has shortened, but +110 or better still gives bettors plus-money exposure without requiring Baltimore to cover a run line.
This is a straightforward underdog moneyline play.
