Can the Rockets Ascend to the Throne? - NBA Southwest Division Preview

Written by

We’re in the midst of the NBA preseason, so there’s no better time to look at what to expect from the upcoming season. The draft and free agency are both behind us at this point in time. Teams are getting ready to figure out their rotations and prepping for the regular season, which gets underway on Tuesday, October 16. The Golden State Warriors are the two-time defending champions as they wiped out the Cavaliers in what was the fourth straight meeting between the teams in the NBA Finals. Golden State took three of those four meetings: can they continue their run of success this season or will someone else step up and knock them off their throne? Today, we take a look at the Southwest Division. The division had a clear delineation between the haves and the have-nots in 2017-18. Three teams made the playoffs, led by Houston, who finished with the league’s best record. The problem was, the other two teams were 13th and 14th, respectively in the Western Conference. Will someone step up and challenge the Rockets in the division or is this Houston’s title to lose? We’ll take a look at the teams in order of last season’s standings. Let’s take a look without further ado.

2018-19 NBA Season – Southeast Division Preview, Odds, Betting Picks & Predictions

Written by

As we’re heading to the south of the Eastern Conference, the competition starts to really thin out. While the Washington Wizards at -1400 and the Miami Heat at -450 are strong favorites to make it to the post-season, the Orlando Magic at +600 and the Atlanta Hawks at +2000 are massive underdogs on the East […]

With LeBron James moving to the West, the Eastern Conference will need a new king. The Central Division will get a new leader after four years of LeBron’s Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cavs will not be a factor this season with the odds at +2500 to retain the title. The Milwaukee Bucks are the No. […]

Can the Jazz Play Sweet Notes to a Division Crown? - NBA Northwest Division Preview

Today, we take a look at the Northwest Division. The division was the lone one in the league to have all five teams finish above .500 and four of the teams made the postseason. Denver finished 46-36 and ended up as the lone team to miss the postseason. The Nuggets were knocked out in a winner take all elimination game against Minnesota in the regular season finale for both teams. Had Denver played in the Eastern Conference, they would have been seeded sixth and made the postseason. The five teams in the division were separated by just three games last season: will history repeat itself in 2018-19? We’ll take a look at the teams in order of last season’s standings. Let’s take a look without further ado.

2018-19 NBA: Pacific Division Preview

Written by

Phoenix Suns They were the worst team in the Western Conference and the NBA in general, winning just 21 games last season. It continues a string of three years where they’ve won just 24 games or less, but perhaps they can finally turn things around with a new era beginning under head coach Igor Kokoskov. […]

2018 NBA Draft Recap

Written by

The 2018 NBA Draft is over and there were as always some winners and losers. In betting terms, Golden State is still +140 to win their third straight NBA title, but Phoenix has jumped a bit to +25000 and the Lakers have jumped already from +1600 to +500 from Bovada. Of course, the Lakers’ increase […]

Who Is The NBA's Greatest Of All-Time?

Goat: A hardy domesticated ruminant animal that has backward curving horns and (in the male) a beard. It is kept for its milk and meat and is noted for its lively and frisky behavior. How to Bet the 2018 NBA Draft

Written by

The 2018 NBA Draft tips-off on Thursday from Brooklyn, New York at 7pmET. There's a very good chance that Phoenix takes Arizona center DeAndre Ayton with the first pick but after that, it's anybody's guess. From a betting perspective, you can lay money on Ayton going first (-2500) or the best Euro prospect in the draft, Luka Doncic (+2200).

Can the King claim his fourth crown?

Written by

LeBron James has taken eight straight teams to the NBA Finals, which may be one of the greatest accomplishments in sports. In 2007, he reached the Finals for the first time with Cleveland, but was swept by San Antonio. That team featured the likes of Damon Jones, Eric Snow, Daniel "Booby" Gibson, Anderson Varejao and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Yet, this current squad is referred to as LeBron and the "others".

Our Three Best Props For The NBA Finals

Written by

The NBA Finals are here and I for one am very disappointed at the fact that we will again be seeing the Cleveland Cavaliers hookup with the Golden State Warriors. Let's look at three prop plays for the series.

Houston’s Lack Of 2nd Half Scoring Leads To Bad Beat On The Over

Written by

25 points in the second half by one of the best offensive teams in the league. That is just unheard of in the modern era of three-point shooting. That 25 points that the Rockets scored in the second half also led to many Over bettors in the game (like me) to throw things around the house.

Are The Cavaliers Over-Valued Or Are The Celtics Under-Valued?

Written by

Early money has come in on the Cavaliers in this game seven, despite the fact that they may be without Kevin Love and have not played well at this Venue in this series, so are the Cavaliers over-valued or are the Celtics under-valued?

What if Neither Cleveland Or Golden State Make It To The Finals?

Written by

The Golden State Warriors entered the playoffs at +180 to reach the Finals, while the Cleveland Cavaliers were at +800, but now we could see neither team in the finals and that hasn't happened since the 2013/14 season. What would a Finals without those two look like?
