Eagles at Bills NFL Prediction

The Los Angeles Rams enter Monday Night Football as the prediction-market favorite against a Buffalo Bills team trying to rebound from its first loss of the season.

Kalshi currently gives Los Angeles approximately a 62% chance to beat Buffalo, compared with roughly 39% for the Bills. The market has attracted more than $9 million in trading volume, making Bills-Rams one of the biggest NFL prediction markets of Week 5.

The traditional betting market points in the same direction. Los Angeles is currently favored by around 3.5 points, while the total sits at 54.5 in a matchup featuring the two most recent NFL MVP quarterbacks.

Buffalo enters 3-1 after losing 29-26 to New England. Los Angeles improved to 2-2 last week with a 24-20 comeback victory over Philadelphia.

Rams Have 62% Chance to Beat Bills

The current Kalshi market gives Los Angeles the clearest edge entering Monday night. The Rams are trading around 62% to win outright, while Buffalo sits near 39%.

That is a meaningful advantage, but it is not the profile of a one-sided matchup. The spread markets are considerably tighter. Los Angeles is around 57% to win by more than 2.5 points, while the probability of the Rams winning by more than 3.5 drops to roughly 48%.

The distinction is important. Traders favor the Rams to win, but the market still sees a realistic path to a close game decided by one possession.

Rams vs Bills Betting Line Has Moved Toward Los Angeles

Los Angeles opened closer to a 2.5-point favorite before the market moved through the key number of three and reached approximately Rams -3.5. The total also climbed from around 53.5 to 54.5.

That movement is covered in more detail in our Bills-Rams betting trends and line movement analysis. The shift toward Los Angeles reflects the Rams' offensive matchup, home field and Buffalo's injury situation, but moving through three also makes the current spread more complicated than the outright winner market.

The prediction market is therefore telling a slightly different story than the point spread. Los Angeles is the more likely winner, but traders are much less confident the Rams create separation.

Matthew Stafford Leads the NFL's Top Yardage Offense

Los Angeles enters Monday night with one of the league's most productive offenses by yardage. The Rams are averaging approximately 417 total yards per game, the highest mark in the NFL through the opening month.

Matthew Stafford has already thrown for more than 1,100 yards, and the Rams can attack Buffalo with several established receiving options. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams give Stafford two proven targets capable of winning at different levels of the field, while Kyren Williams keeps the offense from becoming exclusively dependent on the passing game.

That balance becomes especially important against Buffalo. The Bills know the Rams want Stafford operating from a clean pocket, but Los Angeles has enough offensive variety to punish a defense that sells out to create pressure.

Buffalo Still Has Josh Allen

The strongest argument for Buffalo remains the quarterback.

Josh Allen has already accounted for 13 total touchdowns through four games, including seven rushing scores. His ability to create outside structure makes Buffalo difficult to eliminate even when the offense is not operating efficiently.

The Bills are averaging 31.8 points per game, the second-highest mark in the NFL. They are also producing more than 386 yards per game, giving Buffalo enough offensive firepower to turn Monday night into a shootout if the Rams cannot contain Allen near the goal line.

That is the primary reason a 62% Los Angeles probability should not be confused with certainty. Allen can change a game with one scramble, one deep completion or one red-zone run.

Bills Are Missing Ed Oliver and Joshua Palmer

Buffalo enters with the more complicated injury report. Defensive lineman Ed Oliver has been ruled out with a knee injury, while wide receiver Joshua Palmer is also out because of a shoulder issue.

DJ Moore is questionable with a shoulder injury, and Buffalo also listed Dee Alford and Landon Jackson as questionable. Those absences and uncertainties affect both sides of the matchup.

Oliver's absence is particularly important because Stafford is much easier to defend when opponents can generate interior pressure without committing extra rushers. Buffalo may now have to find other ways to disrupt him while still accounting for Nacua and Adams downfield.

Palmer's absence reduces Allen's receiving depth at the same time Buffalo may need to score into the high 20s to keep pace.

Rams Enter With the Healthier Roster

Los Angeles has a much shorter injury list entering Monday night. Safety Quentin Lake is questionable with a hip injury, but the Rams otherwise enter with most of their major pieces available.

Aaron Donald has been cleared to play after missing practice time, while key offensive players are available for Stafford. That relative health advantage matters in a matchup where both teams have enough offensive talent to punish weakened position groups.

The market is not necessarily pricing Los Angeles at 62% because Buffalo has become a poor team. It is pricing the combination of home field, matchup and roster availability.

Buffalo Is Coming Off Its First Loss

The Bills opened the season 3-0 before losing 29-26 to New England last week.

That result did not erase Buffalo's strong start, but it exposed some areas the Bills need to clean up. New England generated 405 total yards, and Buffalo was unable to consistently control the game despite entering as the favorite.

Monday provides an immediate opportunity to respond, but the opponent is difficult. Los Angeles has enough receiving talent to attack the same defensive areas that have already caused Buffalo problems.

A Bills victory would move Buffalo to 4-1 and strengthen its position in a crowded AFC. A second straight loss would drop the Bills to 3-2 and make their early-season lead considerably less secure.

Los Angeles Is Trying to Move Above .500

The Rams enter at 2-2 after a 24-20 victory over Philadelphia.

Los Angeles had to rally in the fourth quarter to win that game, but the result prevented the Rams from falling to 1-3 and gave them a chance to move above .500 on Monday night.

The schedule has not been easy. Los Angeles has already played several high-profile games, and Monday marks another prime-time appearance for Sean McVay's team.

A win over Buffalo would do more than improve the record. It would give Los Angeles another victory over an established contender and strengthen a playoff market that already gives the Rams a strong chance of reaching the postseason.

Stafford vs Allen Is an MVP Quarterback Rematch

Monday night features the two most recent league MVP quarterbacks. Allen won the award for the 2024 season, while Stafford followed with the 2025 honor.

Their most recent head-to-head meeting produced one of the wildest games of the 2024 season. Los Angeles defeated Buffalo 44-42 at SoFi Stadium in a game where Allen threw three touchdown passes and rushed for three more.

Stafford threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns in that matchup, while Nacua finished with 12 receptions for 162 yards and a score.

The teams combined for 86 points and more than 900 yards without committing a turnover. Monday does not have to reproduce that game to become another high-scoring matchup, but the current total shows the market clearly remembers how explosive both offenses can be.

Rams vs Bills Total Is Set at 54.5

Kalshi's total market is almost perfectly divided around 54.5 points. The probability of the game finishing over that number is sitting around 49%, leaving traders with essentially no consensus on whether another shootout is coming.

The team-total markets show similar expectations. Los Angeles is around 53% to score more than 28.5 points, while Buffalo is close to 49% to exceed 26.5.

Those numbers produce a scoring profile very close to the traditional market. Los Angeles is expected to finish somewhere around the high 20s, while Buffalo is projected only a few points behind.

Buffalo's Running Game Could Slow the Rams Down

Buffalo does not need Allen to throw 50 times to win. James Cook gives the Bills a legitimate traditional rushing threat, and Allen's own running ability forces defenses to account for an extra ball carrier on option concepts and broken plays.

That could be important against a Rams defense that would prefer to attack Allen in predictable passing situations. If Buffalo stays efficient on first down, the Bills can keep the entire offense available and prevent Los Angeles from simply turning its pass rush loose.

The matchup becomes much more favorable for the Rams if Buffalo repeatedly reaches second-and-long or third-and-long. That allows Los Angeles to focus on Allen as a passer rather than defending the full range of quarterback runs, Cook carries and play-action concepts.

Los Angeles Can Attack Buffalo Through the Air

The other side of the matchup may be even more important.

Stafford has Nacua and Adams against a Buffalo defense that has already shown vulnerability in the secondary. If the Rams protect Stafford, Los Angeles should have opportunities to create chunk plays.

The absence of Oliver may make that protection easier. Interior pressure is one of the most effective ways to disrupt a veteran pocket passer, and Buffalo now has to compensate without one of its most important defensive linemen.

That is one of the clearest matchup reasons behind the Rams' market advantage. Los Angeles has the quarterback and receivers to directly attack an area where Buffalo enters less than fully healthy.

Rams vs Bills Prediction Markets

The main Kalshi markets currently point toward a competitive Los Angeles victory. The Rams are approximately 62% to win outright, while Buffalo sits around 39%.

Los Angeles is around 57% to win by more than 2.5 points, but only about 48% to win by more than 3.5. The Over 54.5 is near 49%, the Rams team total over 28.5 is around 53%, and Buffalo over 26.5 is close to 49%.

Those prices fit the broader matchup. Los Angeles owns the stronger overall market position, but the secondary markets show considerably less certainty about the margin and total.

Rams Favored to Win Monday Night Football

Buffalo has the better record and one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in football, so this is not a conventional matchup between a favorite and an overmatched opponent. The Bills can win outright if Allen controls the game, the rushing attack keeps the offense ahead of schedule and Buffalo finds a way to pressure Stafford.

Los Angeles still enters with the cleaner setup. The Rams are at home, have the healthier roster, feature one of the league's most productive passing attacks and face a Buffalo defense missing Oliver. The market has steadily moved toward Los Angeles as those factors have come into focus.

Kalshi currently gives the Rams approximately a 62% chance to beat the Bills on Monday Night Football. Buffalo remains dangerous enough to keep the spread and total markets close, but Los Angeles is the side traders currently believe has the better path to victory.
