Scottie Scheffler 14% to Win FedEx St. Jude | Polymarket Promo Code

By: Devin Erickson-Sheehy Published 08/12/2026, 07:50 PM ET

Scottie Scheffler enters the FedEx St. Jude Championship as the clear favorite on Polymarket, but traders are still assigning the world No. 1 only a 14% probability of winning at TPC Southwind.

Scheffler's contract currently shows Yes at 15 cents and No at 87 cents, with $1,241 in displayed individual volume. The full FedEx St. Jude winner market has now generated more than $28,000 in trading volume.

The price makes Scheffler the most likely individual winner according to the market, but it also means roughly 86% of the championship probability remains spread across the rest of the field.

Scottie Scheffler Leads the FedEx St. Jude Market at 14%

Scheffler remains the top name on Polymarket heading into Thursday's opening round in Memphis.

The current contract shows:

  • Scottie Scheffler to win: 14%
  • Yes: 15 cents
  • No: 87 cents
  • Displayed Scheffler volume: $1,241

The difference between the displayed 14% probability and the 15-cent Yes purchase price reflects the live order book rather than a contradiction in the market.

Prediction-market prices can move continuously as traders submit orders, take positions and react to new information.

Scheffler is therefore the favorite without being remotely close to an overwhelming one.

Scheffler Arrives as the World No. 1 and FedExCup Leader

The market's decision to put Scheffler at the top is easy to understand.

He enters the FedExCup Playoffs ranked No. 1 in the world and at the top of the season-long FedExCup standings.

His 2026 season has also been unusually consistent even without a long run of victories.

Scheffler has not won on the PGA Tour since the American Express in January, but he recently recorded his fifth runner-up finish of the season at the 3M Open.

That combination is important for a tournament-winner market.

A player can remain the most likely winner even when converting fewer opportunities into victories than expected. Repeated top finishes keep Scheffler near the top of leaderboards and give him more chances than almost anyone else to be in contention on Sunday.

The 14% Polymarket number reflects that distinction.

Scheffler has been consistently close to winning without dominating the season to the point where traders are willing to give him a 20%, 25% or higher probability against an elite playoff field.

TPC Southwind Has Already Been Good to Scheffler

Recent course history strengthens the case for Scheffler as the favorite.

He finished fourth at TPC Southwind in 2024 and followed that with a tie for third in 2025.

Last year's performance was particularly strong.

Scheffler finished at 15-under, one stroke behind the playoff between Justin Rose and J.J. Spaun.

That means he returns to Memphis after consecutive top-four finishes at the course.

TPC Southwind measures 7,288 yards and plays to a par of 70. The layout places a premium on controlling the golf ball rather than simply overpowering the course.

Scheffler has specifically emphasized the importance of precise ball striking, narrow landing areas and avoiding the hazards positioned around the course.

That profile fits one of the strongest parts of his game.

Why Scheffler Is Only 14% Despite Being the Favorite

Golf winner markets naturally distribute probability across a much larger field than a head-to-head event.

Even the best golfer in the world must beat dozens of competitors over four rounds.

That is why Scheffler can simultaneously be the clear favorite and still carry only a 14% probability.

Rory McIlroy is currently displayed at 6%, while Xander Schauffele sits around 5%.

Tommy Fleetwood, Cameron Young, Sam Burns, Collin Morikawa and Ludvig Aberg are all trading around 4%.

There is also an unusual Steven Fisk contract displayed around 12%, but that market has only a few dollars in individual trading volume behind it. That makes it less useful as a measure of broad trader conviction.

Scheffler's position is much clearer.

He is the player the market considers most likely to win, but traders are still collectively assigning most of the championship probability to someone else.

FedExCup Playoff Stakes Add Another Layer

The FedEx St. Jude Championship is the first event of the three-tournament FedExCup Playoffs.

Seventy players qualified for Memphis before Daniel Berger's withdrawal reduced the active field, and the playoff structure becomes progressively tighter from here.

The top 50 after the FedEx St. Jude Championship advance to the BMW Championship. The field then falls to 30 for the TOUR Championship.

Scheffler enters from a very different position than golfers fighting around the qualification line.

His place in the next round is not the immediate issue.

The objective is maximizing his position at the top of the standings and beginning the postseason with another chance to win.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship carries 750 FedExCup points for the winner along with a $20 million tournament purse.

Thursday's Opening Round Could Move Scheffler's 14% Quickly

A 14% pre-tournament probability gives the market plenty of room to move once scores begin counting.

If Scheffler opens with a strong round and establishes himself near the top of the leaderboard, traders could push his probability significantly higher before Friday.

A slow start could produce the opposite reaction.

That is particularly true because several established contenders begin the tournament between roughly 3% and 6%.

There is no enormous probability gap protecting Scheffler if another elite player shoots a low opening round while he struggles.

The current contract should therefore be viewed as a starting point rather than a fixed forecast.

Scheffler's Recent Southwind Results Matter More Than a Generic Favorite Label

The strongest case for Scheffler is not simply that he is the world No. 1.

It is the combination of overall form and specific success in Memphis.

Back-to-back top-four finishes show that his game has translated well to TPC Southwind.

His runner-up-heavy 2026 season shows that he continues to put himself in position to win.

And his status at the top of the FedExCup standings confirms that his results have remained strong across the full season.

Those factors help explain why traders have separated him from McIlroy, Schauffele and the rest of the established contenders.

The question is whether Scheffler can finally turn another high finish into a victory.

How the Scottie Scheffler Polymarket Contract Works

Polymarket's FedEx St. Jude Championship winner market allows users to trade contracts tied to each golfer in the field.

A Yes position on Scheffler is tied to him winning the tournament.

If Scheffler wins the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the winning contract resolves accordingly. If another golfer wins, Scheffler's Yes contract does not.

Market prices can change throughout the event as scores, leaderboard position and new information alter trader expectations.

Users should review the complete market rules and current order book before entering a position.

How to Access the Polymarket Welcome Offer

Trading involves financial risk, and contract prices can move significantly before an event is resolved.

Scottie Scheffler FedEx St. Jude Outlook

Polymarket has made its pre-tournament position clear.

Scottie Scheffler is the most likely individual winner of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, but the market is not treating him as dominant.

His 14% probability leaves roughly 86% of the championship outcome assigned elsewhere.

What separates Scheffler from that field is the consistency of his profile.

He enters as the world No. 1 and FedExCup leader, has already produced five runner-up finishes this season and has finished fourth and third in his last two appearances at TPC Southwind.

That is enough to make him the favorite.

Whether 14% rises or falls will begin to be decided when the first competitive shots are played Thursday.
