The PLAY: Carolina Hurricanes -110
Hurricanes -110 Over VGK
We like Carolina to bounce back here, as they showed great heart coming back and sending that last game to OT. We think they come out ready to go and they need to get back to their bread and butter, which is their defense, and Brind'Amour will preach defense to them. Brind'Amour also is still deciding on which goalie to use for this game tonight; he's said he's made his decision but has not made it public yet. Frederick Anderson was the front-runner for the Conn Smythe Trophy, awarded annually to the playoff MVP, after he went 12-1 with three shutouts in the first three rounds, but he's been lit up in this series here, and he was replaced by Brandon Bussi, who made 18 consecutive saves in his NHL playoff debut, including one on a penalty shot by Mitch Marner. Regardless of who's in goal, I like Carolina tonight, the same type of deal as the Spurs last night, a desperate team trying to make it a series again. This was the #1 defense in the NHL this year, and I expect the Canes to show up.
