Virtual currencies and how they work

Just as I saw during my Jackpota review, Legendz uses two virtual currencies. This is a sweepstakes site, so you never use real money.

The virtual currencies come in two formats at this site, and they're known as Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. You'll often see them referred to as GC or SC throughout the Legendz site, and it's up to you which one you choose to play with.

Gold Coins

Getting your hands on GC is generally a lot easier than SC for one very good reason - they have no monetary value and can never be redeemed for tangible prizes. This makes them more readily available than SC, as I’ll explain in a moment.

You pick up hundreds of GC thanks to welcome offers, regular promos, social competitions and via a GC bundle purchase. Building up a big pot of GC simply allows you to play more games. You can switch to playing with SC as you wish with the switch in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Sweeps Coins

SC is similar, but you can never purchase these, and they will come your way in much smaller quantities. If you play using SC and you hit a win on a slot, for example, then that currency will come back to you in the same format, and once you have enough of it in your balance, you can ask to redeem it for a gift card or cash prize.

You must play through any SC at least once, and you'll need 50 of them to make an eligible redemption claim if you like a gift card, or 100 if you'd prefer a cash prize.
