UFC 266: Ortega vs Volkanovski - Card Preview - 9/25/21
We are out of the Apex Centre and into T-Mobile for this UFC PPV. Two belts on the line in a pretty stacked card. The main event sees the return of Alexander Volkanovski as he looks to defend his featherweight crown against Brian Ortega. Volkanovski is undefeated in the UFC but his first defense against Max Holloway was insanely close. It will be interesting to see how he does against Ortega, who himself looks to have improved quite a bit. Prevalent by his dismantling of The Korean Zombie last time out.
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko is back to continue clearing out her division as she goes up against Lauren Murphy in an incredibly lopsided affair. If you bet $100 on Shevchenko, you’d make back enough to buy a large coffee (sadly not joking). Murphy is anywhere between a 9 to 1 or 10 to 1 dog which is wide as it gets in the UFC really.
The other big storyline here is the return of Nick Diaz, as he and Robbie Lawler will be running back their match from 2004! That fight saw Diaz knock out Lawler in dramatic fashion. There’s lots of other recognizable names on this one. You can check the lineup below! Should be awesome.
