2024 NFL Futures – Team Specials: Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans

The 2024 NFL Draft and most of free agency is over. It’s time to look at some NFL Props for the upcoming season. There are some really good values if you look at some futures within each team. For example, if you think Patrick Mahomes is going to throw for over 5,000 yards this season, the odds are at +550 on May 9. That’s something he’s accomplished just twice in six full seasons. Let’s take a look.at some specials led by the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans.

(odds from Draft Kings)

Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb to have 1750+ Receiving Yards in the Regular Season +400

Lamb had 135 catches for 1,749 yards last season, so he was close to that number. He’s the main target for Dak Prescott and there’s no reason why that can’t continue. The other key thing is that he’s been durable thus far, having not missed a game.

Houston Texans

Stefon Diggs to Score 10+ Receiving TDs in the Regular Season +400

Diggs had 10 receiving TDs in 2021 and 11 in 2022. C.J. Stroud threw for 23 TDs in his first season with a mediocre receiving corps and Tank Dell missed the last six games due to injury. Nico Collins also had 80 catches for 1,297 yards so they can’t just double Diggs. This is certainly a reasonable mark to achieve.

Danielle Hunter to Record 17+ Sacks in the Regular Season +1000

Hunter recorded 16.5 sacks last season with Minnesota and goes to a defensive-minded coach in DeMeco Ryans.

Joe Mixon to have 1,000+ Rushing Yards and 500+ Receiving Yards in the Regular Season +1400

Mixon won’t have to carry the Houston offense, but he should be rejuvenated in Houston. He’s just 27 and even with some wear on the tires, it’s very doable to record over 1,000 rushing yards and 500+ receiving yards in 17 games. His highest receiving total came in 2022 when he had 441 receiving yards.
