2024 Current World Series Odds

Since we’re in the middle of the divisional series, let’s take a look at some of the latest future odds and who to pick.

(odds from Draft Kings)

World Series Odds

NY Yankees +265

I’m not convinced the Yankees have the pitching to go to the World Series or win it. But there’s nobody that’s dominant in baseball. Good pitching can beat good hitting.

LA Dodgers +425

This is a scary talented team who got rocked by San Diego on Sunday 10-2 to even the series at 1-1. Jack Flaherty was trashed by the Padres and the fans decided to throw trash on the field.

Philadelphia Phillies +475

If the Phillies can somehow get past the Mets, they should win the World Series. There is something magical about the Mets coming back in most games, but you can only do that for so long. Maybe they should not pitch to Pete Alonso. I’d also take the +240 to win the National League.

San Diego Padres +500

Another talented team that is hard to trust without starter Joe Musgrove, who is getting Tommy John surgery. He had been battling elbow injuries all season, but when he returned in August, from a second stint on the IL, he posted a 2.15 ERA in seven starts down the stretch.

Cleveland Guardians +650

If the Guards can beat Detroit today with Tarik Skubal, they should win in 3 or 4 games. Nobody talks about Cleveland, but they have the bullpen and starting staff to get the job done. Take them to win the American League at +230.

NY Mets +850

The Mets are a great story and are doing it with smoke and mirrors. I do like the way they are using David Peterson (10-3, 2.90 ERA) as a jack of all trades, but can they win a World Series without a true ace?

Kansas City +1700

What a story! The Royals swept Baltimore in the wild card round and they have one of the best players in baseball in Bobby Witt Jr. They also scored just three runs in two games to win and there lies the problem, even though they put up five runs in Game 1 against the Yankees.

Detroit +1700

Another squad that is finding a way to get the job done. They have one great starter (Tarik Skubal) and they don’t have much else so they are going with openers, which can only get you so far. It did get them past Houston, so they’ve already had a successful season.
