1)Jacksonville Jaguars: DE Aidan Hutchinson (6-7, 260) Michigan

Hutchinson had 14 sacks last season and 12 QB hurries. The only concern here is an ankle injury he suffered in 2020 that cost him most of that season. Best EDGE in the draft. Teams with Josh Allen to form a formidable duo. The Walker thing might be a smokescreen.

2)Detroit Lions: DE Travon Walker (6-5, 272), Georgia

Nothing wrong about taking a Georgia defensive player. Walker had 6 sacks last season, but should become a force as he hones his raw ability. Has the upside to be a star, but will need solid coaching.

3)Houston Texans: DE Kayvon Thibodeaux (6-4, 255), Oregon

Another very explosive EDGE rusher. Very electric off the snap. Had 7.0 sacks and 8 QB hurries for Oregon last season. Fits Lovie Smith’s scheme.

4)New York Jets: CB Ahmad Gardner (6-3, 190), Cincinnati

Corner with great size. Had three picks and three sacks last season. Kept getting better in college. Did not allow a single touchdown in three seasons at Cincinnati. Held his own against Alabama’s elite receivers in a playoff game last season.

5)New York Giants: OT/G Evan Neal (6-7, 355), Alabama

Monster right tackle who moves well. Giants are desperate for offensive line help. Can play tackle or guard. Has the potential to become a dominant player.

6)Carolina Panthers: QB Malik Willis (6-1, 225), Liberty

No doubt, Liberty is a pretty good jump to the NFL. Carolina has Sam Darnold, while terrible, can hold the fort for at least a part of the season until Willis can get adjusted. Willis threw for 27 TDs and 12 picks last season , while rushing for 878 yards and 13 TDs. Willis has the arm and running ability to do some damage at some point of his development.

7)New York Giants (via Chicago): DE Jermaine Johnson II (6-5, 255), Florida State

Giants need help everywhere. Johnson is a juco transfer who can play the EDGE in a 3-4 or DE in a 4-3. He has all the intangibles to become a star. Had 12 sacks last season and 12 QB hurries. Needs to develop more moves.

8)Atlanta Falcons: OT/G Ikem Ekwonu, (6-4, 310), N.C. State

Has the versatility to play guard and tackle. Has long arms to help in pass protection. He’ll likely start out at right tackle oppositive of LT Andrew Thomas.

9)Seattle Seahawks (via Denver): CB Derek Stingley Jr. (6-1, 195), LSU

Stingley is just too good to pass up here. Too high to pick a QB like Kenny Pickett. Has great speed. Problem is durability as he’s played just 10 games over the past two seasons.

10)New York Jets (via Seattle): WR Garrett Wilson (6-0, 185), Ohio State

The Jets could certainly use some receiver help and Zach Wilson needs all the help he can get. Wilson had 70 catches for 1,058 yards and is great at running after the catch.

11)Washington Commanders: WR Chris Olave (6-1, 187), Ohio State

Yes, another Ohio State receiver. The ‘Manders certainly hit on Terry McLaurin, another former Buckeye. Olave had 85 catches for 936 yards and 13TDs last season. Very smooth route runner. A good number two and complement to McLaurin.

12)Minnesota Vikings: CB Trent McDuffie (5-11, 195), Washington

Powerfully-built corner who can learn from one of the best in Patrick Peterson. Good against the run and has good instincts. Not a great ball hawk. More of a boundary corner. Slight reach here, but teams need EDGE rusher and they need corner. He’s a solid pick.

13)Houston Texans (from Cle): S Kyle Hamilton (6-3, 220), Notre Dame

Safety is not a sexy position to draft this high. He is a true free safety and can defend the run. Basically, he can do it all and if he’s here, you have to take him. Smart player who has the size to dominate.

14)Baltimore Ravens: DT Jordan Davis (6-6, 341), Georgia

This is one of those you can’t pass him up type of picks. They could go offensive tackle, but if Ronnie Stanley is healthy (apparently he is), then Davis is a beast in the middle to play next to Calais Campbell and Michael Pierce. Davis is massive and great against the run, but had just 7 sacks in four seasons. He needs to prove he’s more than just a two-down player.

15)Philadelphia Eagles (via Miami). OT Charles Cross (6-5, 305), Mississippi State

Cross doesn’t have great size, but is very athletic with great feel and has good foot. Has very long arms, which help as as left tackle against speed rushers.

16)New Orleans Saints: OT Trevor Penning (6-7, 330), Northern Iowa

Huge lineman who will replace Terron Armstead. Taking a big jump from FCS to the NFL. A dominant run blocker with a nasty disposition. Has good quickness for his size.

17)Los Angeles Chargers: DT Devonte Wyatt (6-3, 315), Georgia

Chargers could use some help on the defensive side. Wyatt was overshadowed by Jordan Davis on the Georgia D-line. He’s a very good athlete and powerful against the run. Can eventually become a better pass rusher, but not there yet.

18)Philadelphia Eagles (from NO): WR Treylon Burks (6-3, 220), Arkansas

Burks gives the Eagles some size at the wide out spot, but he can also fly. Had 66 catches for 1,104 yards with 11 TDs last season. Some compare him to AJ Brown. Good complement to Devonta Smith.

19)New Orleans Saints (from PHI): S Daxton Hill (6-0, 190), Michigan

Speedy safety who runs a 4.3 to replace Marcus Williams. Very physical and explosive player, who can also player in the slot. Size is only concern.

20)Pittsburgh Steelers: QB Kenny Pickett (6-3, 220), Pittsburgh

Local player who is very accurate. Threw for 42 TDs and 7 picks last season. Average arm and concern about small hands shouldn’t be huge deal. What is a huge deal is trying to replace Big Ben in Pittsburgh. No pressure there.

21)New England Patriots: WR Jameson Williams (6-1, 179), Alabama

Williams might be the best receiver in the draft, but is coming off a torn ACL in the national championship game. Had 78 catches for 1,572 yards with 15 TDs at Alabama. Has great speed and should go higher, but teams have to realize he will miss some time early on.

22)Green Bay Packers: WR Drake London (6-4, 219), USC

Aaron Rodgers would make this pick if he could. London has the size he loves and good speed. He caught 88 passes for 1,084 yards with 7 TDs last season. Very fluid with good hands.

23)Arizona Cardinals: DE George Karlaftis (6-4, 270), Purdue

A native of Greece, Karlaftis is a good athlete, who blew up last season with 14.5 sacks and four forced fumbles at Purdue. Sets the edge well, but will need more moves at the pro level. Relied on strength at the college level.

24)Dallas Cowboys: G Zion Johnson (6-3, 315), Boston College

Started his career at Davidson and moved up to a first-round pick. Did play left tackle in 2020 and is athletic enough, but not long enough. Will be good in the running game right away.

25)Buffalo Bills: WR Jahan Dotson (5-11, 184), Penn State

A burner who caught 81 passes for 1,182 yards with 12 TDs last season. Lack of size probably makes him a No. 2. Very good with the ball in his hands.

26)Tennessee Titans: LB Devin Lloyd (6-3, 230), Utah

Lloyd can be used in 3 -4 as an inside or outside linebacker. He’s super athletic and a great playmaker, who had eight sacks and 22 TFLs last season. Lacks the power of a Micah Parsons, who some compare him to.

27)Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DT Travis Jones (6-4, 330), UConn

Jones is just a massive human being, who had 4.5 sacks last season. Has good motor and quickness to go along with great strength.

28)Green Bay Packers: CB Andrew Booth (6-0, 200), Clemson

Booth could be a sleeper. He was limited by a sports hernia in the pre-draft process. Has the size and arm length to be special. Just needs to become more consistent. Will need to develop.

29)Kansas City Chiefs (from SF through MIA): WR Christian Watson (6-4, 205), North Dakota State

Watson has great size and dominated FCS opponents. But he also runs a sub 4.4 40 and averaged 20.4 yards per catch in his career. He’s not going to replace Tyreek Hill, but could develop into something special down the line.

30)Kansas City Chiefs: EDGE Boye Mafe (6-3, 261), Minnesota

The Chiefs may ultimately trade up with these two late picks. But they can really use an edge rusher and if they hold on to either pick, Mafe has the athleticism to make a difference.

31)Cincinnati Bengals: TE Trey McBride (6-4, 260), Colorado State

Cincy lost C.J. Uzomah in free agency. McBride is a well-rounded tight end who caught 80 passes for 1,121 yards with just one TD last season for CSU. Not very explosive nor is he a big-play threat. But can work the middle of the field.

32)Detroit Lions (from Rams): QB Sam Howell (6-1, 220), North Carolina

Lions need a quarterback considering Jared Goff is still around. Lack height, but is athletic and tough. Throws a strong deep ball. Decent arm but not great. Ran for 826 yards with 11 TDs and threw for 24 TDs and nine picks last season with 3,056 yards.
