2024 NFL Futures – Team Specials: Pittsburgh Steelers

The 2024 NFL Draft is over and free agency is nearing its end as OTAs are beginning. It’s time to look at some NFL Props for the upcoming season. There are some really good values if you look at some futures within each team. For example, if you think Patrick Mahomes is going to throw for over 5,000 yards this season, the odds are at +550 as of May 9. That’s something he’s accomplished just twice in six full seasons. Let’s take a look.at some specials led by Pittsburgh

(odds from Draft Kings)

Pittsburgh Steelers

Russell Wilson to throw for 3500+ Regular Season Passing Yards +180

Wilson is 35 and coming off a bad season where he threw for 3,070 yards in 15 games. However, in 2022, threw for 3,524 yards in his first season in Denver. He’ll have George Pickens, who he didn’t have in Denver and a pretty good TE in Pat Freiermuth. They also rebuilt their offensive line to help out an aging quarterback.

Alex Highsmith to Record 10+ Sacks in the Regular Season +185

Highsmith is extremely durable, but hasn’t quite lived up to his potential. He did have 14.5 sacks and five forced fumbles in 2022. Last season, he had just seven sacks, while T.J. Watt had 19 sacks. He’ll improve those numbers close to his 2022 campaign.

George Pickens to have 1,250+ Receiving Yards in the Regular Season +225

Pickens is 23 and a 6-3, 200+ pounds. He caught 63 passes for 1,140 yards for one of the worst QB rotations in the league. Wilson and Justin Fields are in a much better situation for Pickens. He should see more targets and more accurate ones. He had 106 targets and just 63 catches last season.

Russell Wilson to throw for 30+ Regular Season Passing TDs +450

I don’t care if Wilson threw 100 3-yard TD passes, he did manage to throw for 26 TDs in a subpar season and in 2020, threw for 40. A new team, group of receivers and system should rejuvenate him, even if it’s just for season.
